Well after a couple attempts at the IBR rally and not getting in I have been drawn for a spot in the 2010 IB5000. Just got my

e-mail from Lisa. :yahoo:

I haven't seen any talk about this, here on the forum so was wondering who was also going.

I know its a long time until August nut it will be here before you know it.

I think I have my bike set up for it already just will need some routine maintenance like valve adjust if I can find someone to help with that I will be in good shape.

I withdrew my app before the drawing. Sucks not having enough funds to do everything. :(

I feel for ya. I really want to do the Spank rally but with pay cuts and other things that suck money I don't think it's gonna be a go. I haven't given up hope yet but time is slipping away. :angry2: My goal is IBR before I die.....I wish I were rich instead of so damn good lookin'.....

Congrats to both of you!
I imagine it will be a hell of a lot of fun.
What, you're not in?
Nope. I didn't put in for it. I can't afford to run a major rally every year in my current situation.

So time for you all to play, and me to watch. The fukin tears are a flowing!
Besides, this rally is really to groom up and coming studs and studettes for the 'Big Show'. Skooter has already proven his jello, er, uhh, mettle!

To those that made it in congrat's. I didn't put in, like SkooterG I cannot afford major event every year. I'm hoping for 2011 (still havn't asked the boss for permission yet).

I'm looking at a couple of the 24 hr events and the National Meet.

I had already committed to the 10 'n 10 when the IBR5000 was announced. A guaranteed spot in '11 would have been great, but I still would have picked the 10 'n 10 - more torture for my rallying dollar and all that. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for the next IBR. Congrats to everyone who made it!

I was very lucky. I am in as well. What a privilege to simply have the opportunity to ride with some great riders.

Just started riding rallies this year on my 92 Yamaha FJ1200. Just purchased an 07 FJR about a month ago. I have a lot of work to do over the winter getting the FJR farkled and practicing, and then practicing some more on route selection/planning. I have much to learn and I am sure I will be asking many questions from the vets.

Congrats to those selected to be tormented tortured participants. I too have my eyes on other rallys/events and couldn't swing this one.

Good luck all!!!
