Wheaton - is that your FJR wrapped in garbage bags out in the snowstorm?! OUTSIDE the garage...?!
Nope, its a Weber grill. The FJR is comfy under a cover inside the garage. However, it is hard to get psyched up go out there and do the maintenance during the winter in that unheated garage.

...and was that a coffin I saw in one pic in the backyard?!
Nope...picnic table.

...and why all the wussy from-inside-the-house shots?
Just got back inside from 3 hours of snow shoveling. How bout I put a boot up yer arse! :D

Wheaton has been a great place to grow up, get married and have a family in...but I am counting the days...3.5 years x 365days/year = 1278 days till I/we move down to upstate SC.

Less than 4 hours to the beaches at Myrtle Beach or Charleston, 1.5 hours to mountain riding, 8 hours to Tampa, Florida. Riding 10/11 months out of the year.

I have been out trying to clear my driveways since about 7:30 this morning. After breaking two drive-belts on the 42" snow-thrower I usually use, I have opted for using the box blade on my large tractor as a plow. The snow at the end of the drives is about 3.5 FEET deep from the plows clearing the street.

More snow is in the forecast for Friday and Saturday....great.
Might be time ta git serious...

Not too bad here.. Maybe a foot is all.

4 foot drifts suck though :glare: Spent 5 hours shoveling the drive to get out of the garage.

Ya, this ***** sucks donkey balls.

After driving to work on a solid sheet of ice yesterday, we had a nice wintery-mix last night. Now the temperature is dropping, it's snowing and we're getting wind gusts up around 50 miles per hour.

But, Sooze and I are heading to Florida for a week of R&R in 3 1/2 weeks, so there is something to look forward to.

Screw you.
Sounds like SOMEbody has a case of the Mondays.

Here in western New York, they closed everything at the thought of the storm, so before a flake fell, all schools were closed and many business as well. And of course, overnight,...nothing happened. Maybe a 1/2 inch. It was fine all morning, no snow, no wind but finally about two hours ago, the winds started picking up and we're now getting quite a bit of blowing and drifting. And of course I had a business trip cancelled by the airlines for the second week in a row, so it's a great winter so far.......

The Grand C is in the garage so I don't have to shovel snow off it to use it. You'll notice it is parked facing out--- at least i will be able to get down the hill, if not back up.

Momma didn't raise no dummies.
Maybe, if yer real nice and polite, I'll explain what that little handle down on the console, near your right knee is for. When you fiddle with it, Jeeps are GREAT at getting up pretty much any hill - snowy or otherwise...

Nope, not on the fence about moving. Made that decision years ago. Wife just thought it would be good for my daughter to finish high school with her friends here in Wheaton first. I'm a very patient man, but it's getting hard to wait.

This snow is just another reminder that we need to get our butts out of dodge when the time comes.

How about an update on your snow clearing skilz? I figure you must have dug a hole in the driveway by now. Grab the camera and show us the fruits of your labor.

Don't you love it when you just clear out a driveway and the plow comes by?

I just walked outside and threw a ball for the old dog. Winter sucks.
