Is there anyone attending that plans to ride at less than Wayne-speed?
If Sooze and I go you can ride with us. I'm slow.
You aren't slow...but I believe just a little more sane...as I would be with a backseater as well.

I'm planning on making this, but won't know for sure until that week.
Putting you on the list Phil.

I think Phil rode with the Geeks last year...so UP, I think there are a number of folks that pace coming to the Ramble.

My wife is actually considering wanting to do this on her FZ6R. Is there anyone attending that plans to ride at less than Wayne-speed? This would be her first experience with twisty roads, and my second, so we would be taking it easy. Not Harley parade slow, though. She does like to go through corners fast, but she'll need to slow it down a bit to get used to back-to-back curves (we only get our curves one at a time in Michigan, and very rarely).
Tentatively, I plan on going and a buddy in Madison Heights I think I have talked into going. He can't get out of work until 3 on that Friday. I'm thinking I'll meet up with him just outside of Toledo and blast down from there. Hoping to make it to Caldwell by 8 PM, while there is still daylight. Monday will be more of a leisurely ride with an early start. There's a possibility of stopping by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, since I've never been. But if any of that works out for you guys, you're welcome to ride with us for all or part of the way. Just throwing it out there.

Putting you on the list...what's yer first name? Timmy? Will this be your first trip to the area? You will have a blast! :clapping:

Also, what does your buddy ride...and his first name? Let me know if he commits.

Yeah, I'm Tim, Timmy. Nick is the other guy's name and he's on a 08 Triumph Sprint ST. Pretty sure he's in, and it helps that my wife works that weekend. Easier to get away, so I'm getting more and more confident that this will work. We did Pennsylvania last summer with the Nighthawk-Forums.com guys and there were some good rides that way, but Ohio is usually a state where my goal is to get through more than stay there. I'm sure the rides will not disappoint.

Yes...lack of traffic keeps these SE Ohio roads very nice for riders. :)

So...no telling your buddies where you went for the weekend...or tell 'em you went and slayed the damned Dragon and how great a time it was. :D

I have some wierd twisted affection for 555. It is definitely one of my top 5 favorite roads at this point. Roads like the Cherohala or NC28 let you get into a rhythm. 555 will bite you, and bite hard the instant you think you've got it figured out. I think it's the true randomness the I like.
I agree a hundred percent.I remember the first time I rode The Dragon...I got into a left, right, left, right pace and before you know it it's over. You do that on 555,especially the middle section between Ringgold and Chesterhill, you're going to end up in a field or up against a tree.I know...2003 I totaled a Nighthawk, bloodied my spleen and broke my collarbone.555 will bite.

I call that middle section The Bucking Bronco, there are times it just feels like it's trying to get you off its back.

So it's not just me...

Hey guys...drc/Denny has already scoped out some county roads between Marietta and Caldwell.

Man, I'm telling you this ride is gonna be some fun!!!! :yahoo:

...speaking of county roads,a small section of Washington county road 42(Stanleysville Rd)

Tim - Things are taking shape now - there may be a couple us departing Friday. UselessPickles and I are coordinating departure time now. We're both near Detroit. I am hoping to hit the road by 1 or so, and stopping at the Ironpony.com store in Columbus. Maybe you could catch us around there, or we'll see you in Caldwell.
