Well I wasn't able to find out anything, but then I am a low-level bottom feeder. All I was able to find out is that the ECU does indeed control the CC limit. It is a very technical question and one that will be very difficult to find anyone who can answer it correctly. Perhaps impossible in this country. That small change in part number could have infinite possibilities, as simple as a change in a supplying vendor.

My personal opinion, and it is opinion only, is that the updated part number won't change the CC limit. If they did that, it would make all the 2013 owner's manuals, service manuals, and any other documentation that describes the CC's operation inaccurate. I don't think they would do that.

So my question is why don't you '13 owners try sticking the ECU for the '14 A model into a '13? Part numbers are similar and as far as we as a forum know, there really aren't any differences between the '13 and '14 A models other than color, front fender color, and the CC limit. Heck, if there are any improvements to stuff like fuel injection mapping or anything else, you would get those benefits too. Just make sure it is the A model ECU you order and not the ES ECU which has a completely different part number and is a shit-ton more expensive!

And on the one parts website I checked on, the '14 A ECU was less expensive than the '13 A ECU. Go figure.

Yes, and it's only $532 on one site I have found...

I would like that site information please!!!!

My conversion calculator seems to be missing the shit-ton category. I have checked weight and currency. I am sure I would understand completely if someone was to send me a shit - ton of cash. Oh wait I have two kids in college at the same time for a six year period. I understand now. That is a shit-ton of tuition.

Carry on!
