R/H - sleep on it. Tomorrow it will look different. Maybe better, maybe not.

I'm smitten with the '14 as well. I didn't think I would like the '13 color, then I saw one and it's very nice. But the '14 red is REEEEEAAAALLLLYYYY purdy. Not now for Pants. Just not now....

IF you can afford the bike without affecting your ability to put food on the table, buy the dammed thing. Sell the ST or trade it in to lower the cost. Hell$ 100something a month is not bad, as long as you're not already in over your head.

You only live once. No second chances, no touchbacks, no spirit world, just dark and cold. Live how you want now!

Redfish, don't go to that dealer, don't look at it, don't sit on it, don't ask for a test ride................... wait until the '15's come out in an even better colour!!

See? ANOTHER Fart Smeller. He may look funny, but he is wise beyond his nose hairs!

Just go ahead and punt that POS Honda and you will be saved my son! Salvation is with SkooterG and the mighty FJR!

Zilla is NOT to be considered a worthwhile source of advice. Even though I do agree with him almost all the time. And yes, I had every intention of trading in the Honda. I have to remove a few of its add-ons first.

As for you my long riding friend, how many times have you ridden right past Baton Rouge without ever once stopping for dinner? Then you expect me to follow your advice?

I am just going to sit here and pout for a while. My ST is outside in the parking lot waiting for me to ride it home at 4 a.m. I am trying desperately to pay off some of my debt, I really don't want to take on a bike note right now. Plus there is an issue concerning a 22 foot Pathfinder Bay Boat that I may HAVE to buy...

This is the only time I have "gotten the fever" for a motorcycle since I bought this ST. Even then it was not exactly what I wanted, it was what I could afford. I am always looking at other motorcycles but this one has really got me in a bind.

I hardly ever remember my dreams. Maybe I dont' dream much.

Last night I dreamed that I bought the '14. This is started to get me in the head too!

I have a "pay cash for toys" policy. Always have. I'm well over 1/2 there now.

I need to stop reading this thread....

I have to admit the new '14 really put me in a buying mood. I didn't want the ES, could care less about the new CC speed limit, and was not excited about the candy apple paint but I knew there would be some smoking deals on leftover '13s and I found one on a demo with a whopping 144 miles. Nice thing about a demo is that you get to ride it before you buy and know exactly what you are getting. The one I rode wasn't perfect, it needed a taller windshield and softer seat but it was hard to find fault with anything else.

There will be a 2014 in my garage and it will be under $10,000. Unfortunately, that will be somewhere around 2018 and the current steed will have passed the 200,000 mile mark. I have never owned a new bike and don't suppose I ever will.

<snip>
Of course, I may need that finance deal for my own divorce.
I sure am glad I got my wife on board with getting a 2014 FJR

The 14's are looking super nice! Love that red and the trick suspension.

But jumped on my 08 for a ride today and it said " I still love You", so not yet for me.

Yeah....so I was pretty damn happy driving home from Memphis last night with my first FJR.

Snow is in the very near forecast here (PA) so I decided to haul it the 950 miles home in my pickup.

Looks like you have the first one on the forum! You will love it. What is the serial number - there seems to be a thing going on the forum with the lowest numbers.

Congratulations!

I can't imagine the horror of having a new bike with "winter" on the way. I've heard so many stories about "winter"....

It's 75 degrees here and not a cloud in the sky. Lucille is nagging me... Time to saddle up!

Enjoy that beauty!

Well I don't know. I saw the pictures of the RED 2014 and thought, WOW that is the one for me. Showed it to the wife, she said if you want it, go get it.

Unfortunately I am almost 79 years old with multiple repairs to my old body.

Have only 79,000 miles on my 04. I am only doing about 8,000 miles a year now, so it isn't nearly worn out.

Know I would never wear out a 2014 before I have to quit riding.

What to do??? That red sure is nice. What to do ?????

Longrider

Go for it! Any reason not to?

I had a '03 with only 30k on it and traded up for a '14es.
