FWIW, that was an advertisement for Fredericton Toffee. The Really Good Pics are .....too dark to see

Going to do the Cabot Trail prior to aqua-treking to the Rock. My tentative plans are to be on Cape Breton Isl Sunday nite (8/10) and stay for a couple of nites. I asked a friend (HD Guy tho) where he stayed on the Trail and he suggested this place... (he's cheap so maybe that's his reasoning too?) I'll take Y'alls 2 cents too.
Aberdeen Motel very biker friendly by the looks...
So calling and talking to a very nice lady, they have very limited rooms (14) and at a measly sum of CAN $70/nite. TripAdvisor Reviews all say how clean it is (be it basic) but not sure how much more us whackies need for just a stepping stone to the Rock. Liquor store within a mile may come in handy Bad news, the lady (who I think was the "Mom" in the Pop part) Millie? or something like that, said they are pretty much booked up for July and August Months by early March. So I may have to act here on a few rooms while the snow is flying, eh.

You don't want to stay there. I would suggest staying in either Baddeck or Cheticamp. Give me an idea of your travel agenda and I can give some suggestions.

Some have said stay away from Baddeck as it's an overpriced area?
My groups tentative prior Rock plans;
-Sat nite; Bangor ME. It's a 550mi w some slab thrown in.
-Sun nite destination is lower side of the Cabot. Beddeck is def in this upper area, again another 550+mi. W some slab. We wouldn't want to stay any more north, sure we will be kinda thirsty after the almost 1200mi within the 48hrs. We wanna stay a couple days at the Cape, and have one day as a rain or fog backup day (basically don't wanna do the trail when we can't see anything).
So we will be at the C-Trails bottom/mid part; Sunday nite 8/10 staying till Tues 8/12, then...
Catching the Ferry in N. Sydney (11:45 or 23:45). Not sure if we wanna use the crossing as a sleep/nite or day/drinking party. For heads up... The Ferry cost is [one way] C$98.11 with bike and rider. A passenger will cost an additional C$42.25. It takes appox 7hrs for the crossing. Sleeping berths are additional but it looks like they have lots of lounge chairs if you just wanna nap or relax. Should be interesting

We stayed at the Aberdeen Motel a few years back. Rooms where very clean. Price was good. It is close to the trail but there is no food for supper or breakfast. It was September when we stayed and I had no problem getting a room. I don't remember why (maybe because of price) we booked one double bed. When we got there they changed our room to the front so it was easiler to park the bike. It had two double beds they just asked us not to mess up the other bed. The single double bed was around the back of the motel.
