I just got a Zumo 550 for this trip and don't have a clue how to use Basecamp or whatever to program these routes.
Is there a way to download them that a dummy like me can figure out? Maybe to an SD card or something?

Any PMs in the King's English would be appreciated (I regret I don't speak IT no matter how hard I try to learn).
Well you start by opening the bonnet and the boot of your caravan...oh, bugger that! (My best King's English that means nothing to most yanks)

The file he posted is for Bing maps. Someone Soon will surely convert or redo the waypoints as a gpx file that both Garmins and TomTom can read.
Uh... what's a gpx? One of those muscle cars or rally machines?

Gpx is cheaply made electronic audio equipment...or in this case, a computer file that contains a gps route that can be read by multiple gps manufacturer's navigation devices.

Here is the first recommended route to ride.Spearfish Canyon

Boulder Canyon

Vanocker Canyon

Nemo Rd

MT Rushmore

Iron Mountain Dr

Crazy Horse

O'neil Pass

Not smart enough or skilled enough to get the map to appear here.

John-

Curious about your waypoint "I". What destination or advantage is this as I see it's a to/from backtrack WP.
It was the only way i could get the damn map to take you down Iron Mountain Road and then to Custer, one could turn right instead of left and avid the ride to the East if one wanted too.
Kinda figured as I saw no benefit to that lil off-stretch.

I robbed some of your roads to ink-up a route here; when I bring a couple of guys out in July. My planning has just begun so I'm thinking 1 nite prior to the ride in Sturgis just so the boys can have a beer at the Throttle. Then loop down and up and over to Devils, and then head west to Yellowstone n Glacier Pks w Beartooth, Chief Joes enroute.

Thank you for you home-turf help

TS you have a good route there. When will you be here? If in the last week in July be prepared for lots of slow Pirate traffic as they are predicting over 1,000,000 pirates will attend this years Rally.

Most hotels are already booked a couple of weeks either side of the first week in August, if you want a bed get on the phone or puter asap.

Me and a couple others will be in town earlier than the Rally (thankfully!). We are leaving here (CNY) on Sat 7/18, should be in the Blackhills 3 days later. So we are hoping before the pirate invasion.

I will be making ressies within a day, especially now hearing your tip!

From Rharrod of Wyoming, a Member of BMW Motorcycle Owners of America:

My Black Hills September ride. I took a ride up and around the North end of the Black hills. It was a 310 miles ride. So I got out of here late like 11am and back home be 6 pm dinner time. I had like an hour at Sturgis BMW shop.:wave Here are some pictures from the day it was a good day.

Big John, I assume you are spreading the word to all the ranchers so they get their stock vaccinated and gussied-up.

Brand Inspectors have been notified!

Montana Blondes (baaaahhh) in and around Alzada are reported to be nervous.

So far the "goats" believe they can outrun any in this crowd, especially once off the bike and rigged for mounting!

I've been told the Kozy is now fully booked as well.

I will see what I can do for a third "alternative" motel at a reasonable price.

Will post here when I have news.

PLEASE NOTE: Big John SD called me and asked if I would handle the BH Attendance List since I was totally Retired and completely Worthless, so I said HELL YES! I will start today from Post #118 with the goal of getting the list up to 100% accuracy by Christmas.

Black Hills Roundup 2015 Attendee List as of 12/23/2014, if you are Attending and are not on the list contact BeemerDonS: Either here, or [email protected] or call Papa Chuy Viejo at 480-440-4666. NOTE: Behind your name and your Room Mates name I will put the Lodging you are in, so we can get an accounting for Day Rides.

Don't check the forum for a few months and **** like this happens...

I can't commit yet. The last time I was out there ('07) was my first road trip on the FJR. It's a great area to ride and I've been wanting to go back.

...but the list of characters already going... has me a little worried.

I'm marking it on the calendar. I can pack a tent.

The only problem with tenting around these folks, you can't lock the door.

Don, just noticed that Festar and I aren't on the list. We'll be there and staying at my house!

Working on some tire deals at the local dealer.

How would be the best way to have people sign up in advance for Saturday nights Steak Dinner. Will have Steak, Salad, Potatoes and "Free Beer". Steak dinner will be about $20. Local dealer buying the kegs.
