For the Reuben I had people commit in a separate thread for a basic head count and pay at the door on the way in.
Count me in for two people.

FJRay beat me to the perfect answer, that's what we've always done at SW-FOG Events. DO NOT put yourself financially on the hook, BadCat Burk and Papa Chuy Viejo got ourselves burned a number of years ago! jes' sayin' and nuff said, NEVER AGAIN!For the Reuben I had people commit in a separate thread for a basic head count and pay at the door on the way in.

+1, Gunny; John this is better yet, they need to find you on Friday and give you the cash!I like separate thread and pay in advance, like on Friday. I'll need paid count to get steaks cut anyway.
Good point. The only problem with tenting around these folks, you can't lock the door.Don't check the forum for a few months and shit like this happens...
I can't commit yet. The last time I was out there ('07) was my first road trip on the FJR. It's a great area to ride and I've been wanting to go back.
...but the list of characters already going... has me a little worried.
I'm marking it on the calendar. I can pack a tent.
I killed my 550 trying to impregnate it with routes, maps, and who knows what on my Mac. Garmin support said to trash can it-- it was toast and they don't fix them anymore. Fred W stepped up and said let me have a go at fixing it. He did. I don't plan to mess with Basecamp, Basejumping, or Freebasing with it now that I can actually get from point A to point B anywhere in the US. Thank God I can still read maps if all else fails. And thanks to Fred W.Gpx is cheaply made electronic audio equipment...or in this case, a computer file that contains a gps route that can be read by multiple gps manufacturer's navigation devices.Uh... what's a gpx? One of those muscle cars or rally machines?Well you start by opening the bonnet and the boot of your caravan...oh, bugger that! (My best King's English that means nothing to most yanks)The file he posted is for Bing maps. Someone Soon will surely convert or redo the waypoints as a gpx file that both Garmins and TomTom can read.I just got a Zumo 550 for this trip and don't have a clue how to use Basecamp or whatever to program these routes.
Is there a way to download them that a dummy like me can figure out? Maybe to an SD card or something?
Any PMs in the King's English would be appreciated (I regret I don't speak IT no matter how hard I try to learn).
