Leaving Thursday AM, stopping by Patsy Cline plane wreck site, arriving in Bonne Terre Thursday evening. Return to Atlanta on Sunday, maybe shadowing WheatonFJR -- if he has not gone Arkansas Ditch Surfing again.

I have to check my school schedule when I get back in town, but if I am "classless" I am coming and will be looking for a room share. I am currently on the road for a few weeks though. Maybe we can work this out.

As HUD alluded to, the google maps to this Hotel is effed up ... Dunno why ... But, the link below is the actual hotel that comes up as 108 N Wood, Bonne Terre, MO 63628 for some reason ... The intersection of 67 and 47 is what shows (8 north wood) .. So, either google maps is messed up or the hotel s listing the wrong address ..

Darn, Darn, Darn. I was so looking forward to hauling my 990 Supermoto to Hooterville and riding with a fine bunch of boys from the land beyond the Rockies. I have met a fair number of you but wanted to meet some more especially the host Smitty as I have heard nothing but good about him (any guy who changes bikes more than underwear is worth meeting). Wheatie had my return route from eom last fall on 16 across Arkansas and I knew I need to ride in that country again-so fun! Also as with most of us I grew up watching Petticoat Junction and always wanted to see the mythical land myself. Of the 3 girls, Bobbie Jo would have been my first pick to take to the water tower.

I even had the time marked off on the work calendar...but then my lovely wife agreed to extend our ride after the Ruben Run in September. She is a great pillion but hasn't been to keen on multi days in the saddle until I picked up the Hippo. Now with the bushtec trailer she has opened up to riding farther so we plan to ride to Yellowstone and Chief Joseph Highway (a personal favorite) after the Ruben. The only downside to this is I have to use my Hooterville time off to make this trip work and until I'm retired there is only so much I can do. As much as I wanted to ride with you guys the SO always.... well mostly comes first.

Hell, I even thought I may have a chance to keep up with Petey using the mighty Katoom but alas it will have to be another time. Have fun people and please post up some pictures. You can even rub some salt in my wounds for not making this ride, I deserve it

Awesome idea! I just changed out a couple of tires for a friend and have the tires laying around. I will have to dig out my Aerostich Stop + Go Tire Plugger and see how it works before I need to use it far from home.

Ride back and forth past a construction site a few times...you will have fooked yourself and won't be a virgin no more.
