2015ES Owners Manual

I just received my 2015 FJR1300ES. It was delivered to me from Southern California. What I failed to ask was whether or not it had an owners manual. As is obvious, it did not.

Looking online I find a lot of owners manuals but none specific to the 2015ES. Anyone have a link to one? Please

They should have given you one. Call the dealership & tell them to send you one, so you have a hard copy.

You should have Owner's Manual, service log book, bag mount point covers, spare lock for potential top box, spare key and maybe one or two other sundries.

Did you check under the seat? (Yes, I know, you need the Owner's Manual to get under the seat

).

From another thread and if IIRC, Horsefly purchased the bike used with ~4000miles on it.

Newer downloadable FJR Owner's Manuals at https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/motorsports/owners-manuals are scanned graphics in a PDF container. Not searchable for keywords. I found one dated 2013 which is a "real" PDF, searchable contents. Does anyone know of a source of the latest properly searchable Owner's Manual?

Oh, and 2016 manual has not been posted.

The newer owners manuals are as N4HHE says, just pictures and not searchable. It's almost like Yamaha is encouraging you to buy a real paper owners manual. Then after 3 years or so they make a true searchable PDF document available.

For what its worth, searchable manuals for up to and including the 2016 are available on the Canadian Yamaha site. There are some differences with respect to immobilizer and possibly other stuff but it is there.

I realize that this is a bit of an old thread but it wouldn't hurt to update it a bit.

I followed the link to the Canadian site in the link above and downloaded an owner's manual. I wanted one for a 2016 ES. There have been some comments that these PDF's are not searchable. I don't use the search feature much but do like to use the highlighter feature in Acrobat. Since this is a secure document, the highlighter will not work. However, if you have Foxit Reader installed ( like Adobe Acrobat and it's free ), Foxit will be setup as a printer on your computer. Then you can print the manual into Foxit Reader PDF Printer which will create an unprotected PDF document of the manual. After that, the manual will be searchable and you will be able to use the highlight function to markup your PDF manual.
