Well I jumped on the opportunity to UPGRADE my Gen. 1 (05) with the addition

of an 08 beauty into the stable.

I have not given her a name yet, for the words escape me every time I look

upon her.

I have not ridden her since bringing her home a week ago today for fear

of putting a blemish on her perfect looks.

She will be set up for "2 up" riding with the wife in the future. Now I can

finally have electrical capabilities I have always wanted.

In bringing her home the 250 or so miles just melted away (Even with the

stock seat) I was in such a hurry to have her that I forgot to bring the Russell

Day Long I had purchased for her. I bought the RDL before I even purchased

the bike - because of my confidence in becoming a gen 2 owner soon.

It was just a matter of time.

So now my gen 2 brothers...

LETS RIDE!!!

[Well, I certainly could make several witty and degrading comments about your Gen1, but since I am a much more sophisticated and genteel Gen2 owner, I will simply say congrats and enjoy your new steed.

NICE Tony. Now you can even enjoy traffic comfortably too! The Gen2 seat certainly is a nice upgrade compared to the Gen1 sponge.

As I'm reading all this Gen 2 hoopla, I'm reminded of one of my favorite songs. Seems the title says it sooooooo well

So Gen-I for 1-up, Gen-2 for 2-up???

Um, that's not what the Gen number mean . . . . .
Actually... I'll be attempting some rallies starting with an August rally in Salt Lake City

called the 10'n10. So now I can take my '05 and convert her to rally mode and leave

her that way. Taking the aux. tank on and off and converting is a PITA.

this is killin simon hearing this positive hoopla about gen 2s.i can hear him singing that eric carmen song......

all by myself, dont wanna ride all by myself, anymore

HAHAHAHA
