Taking the aux. tank on and off and converting is a PITA.
Hey, remember when we installed that aux and I asked if you wanted to order and install an extra set of QD's?????????????????
I have proven that decision making is NOT my strongest area.

But yes... rub it in...if you must.

Heehee! And it's black! we can trade parts now..........
Oh she's black alright!

Kay, I've stared at this gif for an hour and the lights still haven't come on. That's a shame, spider problems already. Or maybe the igniton switch hasn't be replaced yet.

Good thing it's so pretty.

Being that I haven't figured out how to post pictures on this forum, I appreciate your beautiful picture of the best color ever offered on the FJR; BLACK !

So Gen-I for 1-up, Gen-2 for 2-up???

Um, that's not what the Gen number mean . . . . .
Actually... I'll be attempting some rallies starting with an August rally in Salt Lake City

called the 10'n10. So now I can take my '05 and convert her to rally mode and leave

her that way. Taking the aux. tank on and off and converting is a PITA.
Doesn't mean the second one had to be.... one of those! :p

Now you're gonna start in to working on it and find out that everything's in the wrong place.

Passenger seat first. Too many brake pads. 3 brake circuits to bleed. Blah blah blah. ;)

Hey Tony, don't know how I missed this post...but Congrats brother. Looks great!! Yes, time to ride. Will get in touch with you soon.

Are those extra bar end mirrors?? Oh and enjoy the easy access for frame slider install. And the extra storage under the seats... and the better brakes...

Those are indeed barend mirrors

They are an eyesore, but they are great for

setting up to the blindspots.

You went with the FZ's on yours didn't you?

I still need those on my '05 before bad

things happen- far too many close calls

already.

DB ???

Yes that's you- I had to check your profile.

We need a tech day at Jims!!!

TECH DAY! TECH DAY! TECH DAY!
I'm always up for a tech day out here in the Mims woods! If I'm home of course, and have some upcoming trips Aug-Sept, but should be good after that, or even in between if need be. Let me know........

Tony, just wait till you podium or win your first rally. Then they will all be saying how great it is that you did it on an FJR. They will not care which Gen you ride. I actually envy you. Having two FJRs with two distinct personalities to choose from! One of each, what could be better?

One of each, what could be better?

Beemerdons, my respect and admiration for you grows with (almost!) every post. Alas, I do not have confidence in my ability to satisfy completely the needs of so much latin beauty at one time. Perhaps you could instead arrange for my current latin favorite, Sofia Vergara all by herself?

Truly, all that flesh is enough to make a man forget all about his motorcycles...

I am afraid if you wait for that to happen, you will be disappointed. I am much too slow of a rider to

EVER compete with the big dogs. I lack the competitive "Edge" they seem to possess. I really want to rally

for the fun of it along with the camaraderie of meeting other riders. When I first started LD riding, I had a local

mentor who told me I reminded him of himself when he started out. He then asked me what I hoped to accomplish.

I told him among other things, I wanted to earn a 3 digit IBA number. He asked me how I wanted to finish should

I ever be in an IBR. I told him "I would just want to ride well and gain finisher status". He smiled and said "Good"

and proceeded to tell me what it would take to compete near the top. Multiple crashes when I was younger and

MUCH more aggressive riding resulted in the throttle timid rider I am today. As far as endurance I think I am OK,

But speed and computer savvy- forget about it. I am OK with mid pack finishes as long as I feel I rode well and

enjoyed my ride. The 10'n10 will be FUN!!! :yahoo:

The real truth be known... I LOVE the FJR period. Gen 1/ Gen 2 ... I have found a bike that suits me perfect!
