The post above that mentioned the Triumph ST steered me to the Triumph website. To be honest, I know nothing about the Triumph line. I only remember the big(?) oil leaking Twins of the 70's, so I never gave the Triumph line much thought. That may have been a mistake. The ST comes close to what she's been looking for, but has a fairly aggressive riding position. But while looking through the Triumph webpages I saw a bike that I didn't know existed; the Triumph Tiger. From what I've read so far, it's fairly low weight (435#), looks pretty sleek (front view looks a bit like a FJR!), has a factory side bag option, decent protection from the wind, and an upright riding position.
I forgot to mention my wife's Z750S stock seat is lower toward the front, which has a tendency to constantly push her into the tank. It's definitely a crazy design, but her Corbin seat is better. The Triumph Tiger seat, at least in the pictures, looks to be pretty comfortable.
Assuming the Tiger could be lowered, this might be the one! Now to find a dealer...
The Tiger seat is an inch higher than the Sprint, I did sit on a Sprint but I only had tennis shoes on. I dont remember what kind of handlebars the Sprint has, but it does has way more plastic. Guess I'd better sit on a Tiger...
My 30" inseam on a 32 " high seat? Gimmie a carving knife and I'll work on the seat! <G>
But if it could be lowered, I'd be interested as well... most guys dont' really want to bother with suspension mod, but I also lowered the FJR I owned.
Shorter Wilbers shock, and fork springs, and Kuboda lowering link in the rear... worked for me! But the FJR IS a big bike. It's almost 150 lbs heavier than the Tiger or the Sprint. It should be possible to do the same stuff on the Triumphs...
I sure wish I was about 6" taller with a 36" inseam! Than I sure would've kept the FJR!
there are some good Trimph forums, although I go to the
https://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/
forum since I have an 06 Triumph SpeedMaster, 2 cyl cruiser, no oil leaks, but then my 03 Harley doesnt' leak either! (
But it only has about 25000 miles on it...<BG>
there's a folder in the newBonnieville forum for other bikes, including Triumphs, interesting comments about the Tigers and Sprints.
Interesting read here as well.

Several interesting article, not only about the Triumphs.
Oh, I also read where several ladies got the 2006 F650GS . My friend Froggie sold her Heritage Softail Deluxe to get it. She's even shorter than I am, abut 5'4"
She just bought a motor home and wanted something smaller and light to carry on her bike trailer, since she would be taking it on and off by herself.
Hope your wife finds her bike soon, I'd love to see what she gets.
