Gave up pancakes years ago. Missed them sometimes. So last Sunday I decide I'll get the fixings, and enjoy a plateful while I watch #4 throw it to the other team. Holy mother of god! Canadian plot? Almost $20 for a decent bottle?

but you can do things like make a Maple Glazed Pork Tenderloin with it. it's worth it!

I just saw on the news that the Blue Spruce that annually became the National Christmas Tree, blew down in Washington DC as well. Sad to lose mature trees, and they won't even warm your house in the wood stove until next year. :angry2:

This will never be acceptable to a New Englander, but Maple Syrup at Costco is a good buy. On the other hand, I just started a carb-free diet to to try to make my membership in Los Robustos not be the first thing you think of when I ride by.

Ditto. Very sad, Alan, we hate to lose a good maple. Syrup season is nigh upon us. I've heard there's good syrup to be imported from Quebec...
