I was once told that more people die at home in the tub than anywhere else, So I no longer wash myself!
What about those folks that keel over during their morning dump? After lying down all night, they sit on the pot and bear down. The vagal response slows an already weakened heart, more than it can tolerate. Heart stops. Dead guy falls over.

His last thought was probably that it would have been safer to ride a motorcycle.

Is it at least safe to fart? Cause, if not, I'm gonna swell up like the pop-n-fresh dough boy.

no use trying to reason with the mother of a son that has been killed while riding a motorcycle..
Ride safe.
+1 the wife of a friend of mine lost her son when he wrecked his sport bike and now she is a rabid anti-motorcycle person......she still doesn't know that i got back into riding yet and i'm over there all the time... i just can't ride my scoot over there

What's a dead guy doing with a vagal anyway?

Recovering from his/her/its recent ***-change surgery. ;)

There are some arguments that are just not worth having. Please carry on supporting this lady, and maintaining her illusion. She's more than likely worried that the same thing might happen to someone else that she cares about, and couldn't face the pain all over again.

My MIL once confided that the day her son got rid of his motorcycle was the best day of her life. Since we now live half a world away, it didn't serve any purpose to let her know that the CB200 had been replaced with various other bikes over the years.

Isn't that how Elvis checked out? :rip_1:

Well, there goes our Saturday night entertainment.

Elvis had a vagal?
Dude, sometimes I forget your avatar is not the one saying these things... conjurs up a whole different mental image.

Incredible how these get carried away. I was very saddened by the first message. At the end I was laughing at the comments.

I am 64...still working as a defensive tactics instructor. At my age there few possible results to my life. Die fast or die slow. Like all guys, I wanna go in bed (will not comment further on that). But baring that...I want to go fast. So..I go fast!

Don't want to go...gots lots of miles to ride first. But, although sitting in front of the TV maybe safer, it is not for me. Enjoy every day to the fullest.....

A friend, who was 75 at the time, replied to my comment "Jack, you need to slow down on your motorcycle"....."I don't have enough time in life to slow down!!!" Good thought! He was a motorcycle cop for 29 years and still ride an ST1100. And he rides it well....

You won't be the first I've sent to therapy.

Just how do you want to be remembered by the paramedics. The guy that they had do cpr on with his pants around his ankles, or the guy that they had cut the really nice riding gear off. <_<

This thread has gone terribly off track....

I hear that a rider got killed and the first thing I want to know is, What were the circumstances? Was he trained? Did he have a license? Had he been drinking? Was he distracted? Did he know how to brake and swerve? Was he a Republican or Democrat? (Well, not so much that last, but depending on the answer, I may feel differently :D .)

The car driver on a cell phone is one part of the story, and may have been at fault, but before I start wringing my hands that another car flew out of nowhere and killed a MC-ist, I want to understand how it happened.

Of course I generally can't know all that, so I try not to dwell on it. If I did, I'd park it right now.

And yes, it seems like everyone you talk to about riding who does not ride feels compelled to tell you all the people they know who were killed. Reminds me of when we were having our kids long ago and it seemed like other women always had to tell the expecting mom about the baby that was born with its brain outside its body or some weird thing. Still working on an appropriate come-back.
