AE shifting and 1st gear engagement problem solved - incorrect engine oil viscosity

Oh dang, I've been a member of this forum for years and now it's saying that was my first post?  Must be a symptom of the site rebuild, I guess.

Anyway, I've had my '07 AE for 5+ years now and I'm still infatuated with it.

Thanks  Two_Wheeled, that makes sense and I wanted to turn down the idle anyway because it is set at 1200-1300 RPM and that is too high. I'll try it, do you know or can you tell me how I can find that idle screw, you said right side but where?? Thx in advance .

That's definitely too high.  The idle screw is on the right side--above and forward of the clutch cover.  I don't have a photo handy but I'm sure you could google for it. 

Let it warm up all the way before you try to adjust the idle.
