The article was based on data collected by one of those companies that monitors the plug in dongle that insurance companies use to track you in exchange for lower insurance rates. At a minimum it's a reminder that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. It also points out 2 other things. There are a heck of a lot of stupid people who value a couple a buck more important than their privacy. The people who drive/ride in the really fast roads are among those stupid people.

 
Wow--sure wish I could find some roads around here where you could go "full throttle" like those lunatics in the article. Holy cow--94 MPH? That's insane!

BTW--these FJR speedos must be way off, because at WTF-O we had a group of 6 in a relaxed parade formation, and someone said something about having "never stayed above one-ten for so long at one time ever".... and that road isn't even on the list.

I'm thinking speedo error...

 
I live just right around the corner from the one in Oklahoma. I will say this about that road; It is far faster than what they report. That road is about 45 miles of straight nothingness between far west Oklahoma City and Enid, OK. If you are doing anything less than 80mph you will get run over....
