Just heard from Jason via email. He's been sick, which took him out of the fight. He was in the process of moving the forum & server; hardware failure happened upon start up at new location. Recovery tool is running, will know more soon. The domain name is still in place, I'll see if we can get a place holder up. I'm not a network interwebs guru either - but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

If the recovery tool fails, well, we'll look at options from there...

Patience please, work, life, family, holidays, etc. all get in the way of our hobbies from time to time.

Doesn't matter to me what happened to "that other forum" as I have never been able to use it.

I think you are referring to the other "other" forum....the one we are referring to is a different other forum.

I think you are referring to the other "other" forum....the one we are referring to is a different other forum.

I checked the link referenced on the first post of this thread and...... it is "that other forum" I can't use.

Maybe after it comes back, I will give it another shot.

If I got this right, the other other forum (the orange one) was the one I got banned from for mentioning THIS forum. The "other"forum (as this thread is about) ....I was not aware of. From what I remember there was/is a Yahoo Groups forum also....so that's 3 slightly inferior (to very inferior) FJR forums besides this one.

FJRiders was (is) a splinter group from this forum. Some of the members there had received "time outs" here for not following the Forum rules and took it to heart. Some others just didn't care for all of the "drama" here (their words not mine). The largest fraction of the active members were (are?) from the southeastern US. Both forums have good folks participating. Many folks are members of both. Riders is more of a "FJR lifestyle" community with more about riding and fewer technical discussions Just another slightly different angle on an online FJR community. I do hope it returns. Having choices is always a good thing.
