That road looks like a nice ride but you really have to keep your eyes open for that loose gravel in the turns.

Nah, I don't like roads without the center stripe, oncoming traffic don't stay in there lane around corners. Had some close calls with oncoming traffic in Cali on roads like it a few years ago.

I rolled into the garage this afternoon at around 3:30 Eastern time. Paul had already emailed me that he was home safe a couple hours earlier. I haven't heard from Charlie Hoss yet, but he is either home or stuck in traffic around Boston.

Fooking retired people make me sick.

:D

Wheatie, anything we can do to help you out Bro'; leaving for SW-FOG in a week, why aren't you going to SW-FOG!

Got in the door at 11.00pm local last night, 13,345 kms for this trip and in two weeks it's off to Raddison/James Bay for two weeks on the KLR. :yahoo:

After 25 days and 14563.6 km (9044 miles) the FJR is back in the barn resting having the oil drained as we speak. My riding pants marched themselves down into the basement and jumped in the washing machine and are having a bath.

The one nice thing about being partially colour blind is that whole separating colours nonsense does not hold much sway with me.

Oh, my.

9044 miles divided by 25 days = 361.76 miles per day..

Way beyond the CBA approved 200 mpd limit.

Mr. Yamafitter, yer CBA number 00 lies in the balance!

(Of course, if you dismiss the triple-dawg-dare-you bet, all would be OK)

On second thought, given HuddieBear and all, I officially declare you free of all CBA fines and will happily pay for your intoxication given the next CBA Rally or other meet!

Congrats Bill, a wonderful ride and report, I really like your outlook on life. :D

Yeah Eddie, why did those Bastards leave you out of this photo?
They had enough ugly content, Brad (BlueFJRider) and I would have put them over the ugly limit!!

I don't know how I ended up surrounded by the lovely ladies of CenCal....but I'm NOT complaining.

Sometimes it's good to be me! :yahoo:

I rolled into the driveway at 18:15 hrs tonight, rode 7 of 8 days for 2,254 miles for an average of 322 miles a day, so, no beer penalty for my CBA status. Had a BLAST!! got to meet some Forum legends for the first time, got to ride with some great friends, and watched one of them, Brad, perform a mounting on the Big Black Rooster!

Met some CRAZYASSED Cannucks :yahoo: (Gary and Chris) who take the posted speed limits as an advisory only.

No contributions to local community coffers, sorry to hear Uberkul got nailed in Oregon, its Washington that has the sneaky unmarked patrol cars..Ride report to follow.

We're home again, nice to get back from BC and not get run over ths time by any teenage drivers ! :D

So Uber and I come up on this blue Ford Super Duty 350 one ton, has half a lumber rack, gun rack and what appears to be a bull whip in the back window. He's doing 65 in a 55, then we follow, ,...............then the hidden blue lights in the lumber rack light up, ............we'll be sending a revenue check to Oregon this week also ! :(
The Boss and I ran across one of them fellers in Florence, Or on the way home. Their tactic is pretty much scripted, they run 10-15 over the limit, trolling for someone to follow along. After they get tired of messing with you (i.e. getting the max mph over the limit that you'll follow) they light you up! We watched the pictured Trooper below running 60-65 in a 45 zone, then when it dropped to 30, he was running 40-45 and was still doing about 40 in a 25 zone. I watched him jump on the binders to allow a pedestrian cross which is how we caught up to him and then met door to foot peg at a traffic signal. The light turned green and I waited for about 1/2 hour before he finally moved out. I wasn't moving first, no way, no how, didn't want to give him any opportunity to write me up for exhibition or whatever. I fail to see how running 40 in a 25 zone with pedestrians is safety enforcement (cough* state revenue enhancement), but guess no one has found an attorney willing to take on the state for shady tactics such as this. As one other post recently noted, the plates begin with "E" which helps delineate he's not your average contractor running late for a job. Bummer for you and Brad, this is about as sneaky as it gets!
