Never been hassled or given crap by a BMW owner. Nor a BMW dealer. Sure they love their bikes. Why not? BMW makes fine (if expensive) motorcycles. Test rode the K1200S--and it's a heluva machine (except for interlocked braking). Is it worth $4000-$5000 more than an FJR? Maybe. Maybe not. I liked it, but I didn't love it. Is its twin, the K1200R worth more than double an FZ1? Hell no! For the difference in cost you can farkle the FZ1 to leave the R in the dust and STILL have boo-coo bucks left for a fine vacation. But that doesn't make the R a bad bike--just a pricey one.
While most H-D riders are OK, an unusually large minority (compared to other rides) are asshats. But all brands have some asshats even FJR owners (You KNOW who you are! :lol: )
Even the Harley dealerships I've been to are really helpful--bought my trailer at one because they were the dealer for it.
There IS a local Yam/Triumph/Kaw/KTM dealer run by asshats, but I got my FJR and FZ1 from the one that is cool.

Nothing worse than visiting another site and seeing them mention how the FJRForum is bashing so and so.
My view on all this. Bigotry is not limited to the color of skin.

This thread is a delicate balance of trying to preserve free speech by letting the topic starter, downn2, say some whacky stuff and that of a thriving community that tries not delete topics because they're not politically correct.
I think 95%+ of us don't agree with the statement, but prefer not to censor it.
I like BMW's and BMW folks. They're good riders and take the sport seriously. I'd ride with most of them. I'd rather have an FJR personally, but am thrilled we have choices.
