Glad to hear she is on the mend and will be OK. Hope they nail the SOB to the wall.

Man!, glad she's O.K. :)

Another case for ATGATT. The wife and i were out riding today (ATGATT) of coarse. A lot of bikes out today with the beutiful weather and so many without it. We had one guy on a cruiser that we followed for 3/4 of a mile. The Feejer is so quiet he didn't know we were there behind him. He saw us behind him while rounding a corner and he almost high sided the bike. He had a Tshirt sneaks and shorts on. I could see him in his mirror looking at us while going around the corner instead of watching the road in front of him. He managed to keep it up after going into the soft shoulder. Once we got around the corner he pulled over to let us by. Granted we weren't that close to him and we were not going that fast. I thought were were going to picking him up off the road.

Heal Fast :)

Ray, Bad news, good news. Bad that there are people like that, Good that Pattie came out without being hurt for life. Take care of her, and don't let that ringing bell bother ya to much.

Ray,
Thanks for the call last night to let us know how she was doing. I was white knuckle riding the whole way back after.

What a ****** way to end a beautiful day. You guys are the best and I hope she heals quickly.

I will have that vision in my head for a long time. I will just have to let all the stunning mountian and lake views wash it away.

Thanks you again for taking the time to show us around.

Anything you need while I'm in town, just give me a call.

Tim $ Cheryl
Thank the Lord she was not hurt too bad. I am 10 days into recovery on a crash and I still hurt, so I pray she heals quickly. Tim, please give us details on the what happened and on the gear that protected her.

+1 on on everyone's comments that your wife is alive and will be well with a little time. Sending healing thoughts her way, fortitude to you, and evil voodoo thoughts to the driver. :)

Prayers for both of you, and good restraint on not punching the driver in the face on the spot. I'm not sure how to define "accidental" anymore the way drivers are so negligently inattentive these days.

Best wishes,

Murph

I almost didn't want to open this thread because of the title - I hate to hear about crashes as nothing good ever comes of them. Still, for your wife to survive the head-on with life and limbs intact is a relief. Here's hoping her recovery is quick.

Sorry to hear about that Ray, Hope the Mrs heals quickly.

I admire Your restraint..... ****** is lucky to be still breathing.. :butcher:

Ray, very glad it wasn't worse. Speedy recovery for Patti and glad she is getting back on the horse/two-wheeler again.

Your wife is probably a good rider, but this can happen to any of us. I have a 40-year-old lady friend who is buying her first motorcycle, and has just completed the safety course in Oklahoma. This post reminds me that I need to preach to her about 4-wheel drivers often just not seeing a motorcycle in their path, as the modern driver's brain seems to be trained for caution mainly about hazards as big as, or bigger than, their own conveyance. I've dodged so many cars recently on the FJR, that I've started using my bright-lights in the daytime, hoping that I will be better seen. Don't know if this helps, but worth a try.

Best wishes for your wife's recovery.
