Sorry but I am a bit confused

I took this info from the Bin-O-facts:

Barbarian Jumper Mod (allows fuel injector mapping adjustment/CO setting changes)

NOTE: link shows instructions for '03 model, for 2006 -- Remove the white plug out of 25, move the wire from 23 to 25, and put the white plug in 23

Can anybody please confirm it ?

I assuming would be the same procedure for the 2007, but I wanna make sure to don't mess up the thing!

Thx

Roger that. Just did the Barbarian mod to my 07, and it is the same as stated in the Bin-O-Facts for the 06. Works perfectly as advertised.

Thank you Folks!

I going to try it right now! :yahoo:

The Yamaha dealer did that but they probably put the wires back because I cannot access the settings using the dash.

They bumped my factory settings in 10 each but I believe I can tweak it bettter.

I tried to clarify it in the bin -- take a look and see if its better or more confusing now.

Is perfect clear now Rickster! :clapping:

I am typing with the laptop on the bike were the passenger seat goes while doing the farkle.... :D

Thank you very much guys for being helpfull and for the great amount of info we can find on this board. :)

I want to do this mod, But I would be even more comfortable about it if I knew for sure what color the wire I need to move is. In the photos it appears that not every pin has a number clearly marked. I have an 07a. Thanks. I'd hate to let the smoke out of the wires!

Jug, this mod is simple to do. The connector is well marked, so just follow the instructions. The only tricky part is making sure ALL the wires are in properly so the white retention clip will re-seat. Good Luck....and definitely don't let the smoke out!

Just did this mod on my 06. Five minutes... Extremely easy. Just dont lose that stooooopid white plug.

Simply disconnect the ECU connector push out the white appropriate retainer til it clicks, switch the connections in 23 and 25,(wire with plug), and put it back together. Makes a huge difference on drivability. I would definitely recommend it.

Thanks to all for the guidance. Much easier than it sounds.

neil, did you adjust your cylinder settings to 7?curious, as I want to do to mine.
Mark,

I think I set it to +5 across the board but I can't recall for sure at the moment since I'm on vacation. I do recall that I didn't notice much difference.

Neil
