Never give Up, Never slow Down, Never grow old, and Never Die young.

"BS" works. I'm no "Dead Head" - that is a reserved special status, though I am certainly a Dead "fan." I first saw them in 1975 in Missoula, MT -in the days when they were playing through 250 speakers and used several semis to haul the sound gear. I think they used to do 12 hours or so of sound checks prior to a show. They also stipulated in their concerts that the venue would allow them to play until 5 a.m. if they so desired. Unfortunately this night some asshole in the audience bounced a plastic pitcher of Mr. Wier's head, ending things about midnight. I was VERY stoned, but remember the show well. The music was incredible and the fidelity was amazing. You could hear Garcia's fingers bumping over the frets."Truckin'" - Grateful Dead
or maybe, considering the crowd around here, the Dead's "Touch of Grey"
Big Sky (may I call you BS?)
I am a died in the wool dead head. I have (almost) every recording including the somewhat rare 5 disk collection "So Many Roads". I could listen to Dead tunes all day long, but I really have to be in the right mood for it. I also have some solo efforts by Bob Weir and Jerry.
The best live concert I ever went to was Garcia touring solo in 1980(?). We saw him in Hampton Virginia, I think it was Clapton as the opener. Maybe not, I could be confusing shows. Anyway, it was a fantastic jam session and I was only slightly stoned at the time...
