It would be an honor to receive a CBA award, however I feel I am not worthy. I could take the weestrom to LA in November- that would take at least a week each way because it lacks the special Honda Hibachi system of my thigh-searing ST1300, but I feel the prudent thing to do in these troubled times is to remain employed. I can still dream, though! xox

Well, that IS my birthday. What's the plan for Saturday? That is, SaturDAY? Could ride down Saturday, hang out. Get an early pre-dinner dinner. Go to Pinks. Get a motel. Sleep in. Go see my son at UCSB. Be home for dinner Sunday up 101. I'm not saying I can make it, but that IS my birthday. I'd want to buddy up with someone on the ride down and back, if we could work it out. Not saying I could make it. But....

You DO know that Flagstaff is at about 7000' elevation and could be downright wintery at that time of year.
No kidding there. My coldest memory on a bike was coming from the north into Flagstaff -the cold totally caught me off guard, and I still cry when I think back on that evening. I froze my mangina off.

Since then I've been more mentally prepared, but still have had some very cold rides through there.

Two years ago left for PINKS in this weather -very cold all the way down

...but that was nothing compared to times through Flagstaff.

Perhaps I should offer a Candy Butt Association award for the shortest distance rider arriving on a PINK Skooter? Oh, wait, Fairlaner would be a shoe-in!

Cool stuff Dean, will see you there, all 225 CBA miles away. It will take me 2 travel days, but I'll try to be there!
Our apartment is only 1.25 miles away from Pinks, but I don't have a scooter :ermm:

If I can get my YSR50 street legal by then, would that count as a scooter? Or would I be disqualified for inducing mass laughing fit injuries?

I'm in...a grueling 34 miles (and that's just one way) for a dog & a beer (they got beer...right?).
