Clean cities? friendly people?

Surely there is a dark underbelly filled with crack heads, prostitutes and thugs.

Something has got to be wrong with the place..

Great report, It makes me want to go there all the more.

Crikey Mate! Brilliant ride report!Although where are the pictures of the Aussie Shielas??
I stumbled across one...

Great Ride report - thanks. I agree with what you say about Phil (and his lovely wife, and their dogs) - very hospital and generous. In Feb a friend (Gerry) and I road in 600 miles from the north and stayed the night with them, before the three of us headed to the World Superbikes at Phillip Island. This is us on the way home - having fun

Most of the coastal areas suffer significant shortages in clothing material, as a result most sheilas can't afford any significant clothing. Very sad situation indeed. We try to cope as best we can.

It is with great sadness that I report back on this old thread. We lost Pat yesterday after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. I've stayed in contact with both Phil and Pat since my visit back in '13 and have gotten to know not only them, but also their families better. Pat will be missed for his sense of humor, enthusiasm for motorcycles and devotion to family and friends. Ride on Toura.

I clearly remember reading that report. You were fortunate to have known and spent some time with such a person. My condolences.

I missed this one the first go round, what a happy and then sad thread. Pat sure looks like he was one tall dude, or you are as short as I am.

I guess I missed this report the when it was originally posted. I was reading and enjoying and then WHAM! I then looked at the dates. RIP Pat.

Great ride report Phil. And good on you Aussie Phil for hosting!
