Last Sunday got into a farkle frenzie. Along the way, a new Blue Seas fuse box was installed underseat of Crzy8, a 2006 A model. Re-routed all my wiring for a nice tidy clean look and for ease of maintenance. Along the way, decided to remove the 2 amp fast blow in-line fuses from the StarCom1 and Escort X50 radar detector harnesses. Don't need them, the Blue Seas is fused...less clutter.
Now, let's install those 2 amp ATC fuses. ATC fuses are the big blade automotive style fuses. Hmm, the smallest I can find in my newly-organized-with-stereo-and-color-tv-shop are 3 amps. I'll stop by mananna and pick up some 2 amp jobbers.
After stopping at 2 Radio Shacks, 2 Kragens, Sears, finally the second Napa store I went to the guy says, 'never heard of a 2 amp ATC but let's check the book'. ...and they actually are made, can be ordered. 5 for $2.12 and a complete afternoon of running around. If I were to to this over again, I'd probalbly leave the OEM in-line fuses in place. Posted as public courtesey of the guy who now has a freshly-organized, well-light shop with stereo and......
