At the NAFO prize table this year I picked up a certificate for a set of Bridgestone tires. Well a couple of weeks ago I finally got off my ass and sent it in and low and behold a fresh set of t30's showed up this week. I'm trying the PR4s this time, but if they don't last quite a bit longer, I'll go back to T30s next time. I've run several sets of Bridgestones on both my bikes and like them just fine.

 
Sweet! I used the T30s this year and got a season out of them. Not the longest mileage tire, but great handling. I'm not complaining about the distance, I'll need a new set in the Spring.

 
I was really impressed with the T-30s; it gave me a whole new feeling of confidence on twisty roads.

 
I have been running the 023 GT tires and like them a lot.

Guess next time around I will be mounting the T30s, although I haven't been too impressed by the mileage reports.

I put my first T30's on this summer.

Currently have 4755 mi on rear and 2351 on front.

I think they will make it through the winter and to SW-FOG in May.

 
After cupping on the front stock tire after just 5,000 miles started affecting handling, I put on a set of T-30s. Improvement in handling was amazing. I have about 2,000 miles on the T-30s and they still feel great. They are very solid in the twisties as well.

This has been discussed to death elsewhere, but I'll just say that in my experience the rear T30 may wear a bit faster than the stock BT023 rear, but the front T30 lasts much longer than the BT023 front. If you're going to run a matched set, the overall life of the T30s beats the BT023s by a lot.

 
I've got a set of T-30's ready to mount come this spring. Avon's are shot... I'm a fan of the brand too, (despite the 021 fiasco). You should like a company that has this pic on the front page of their global motorcycle tire website:

I put 4700 miles on: TX- San Diego - Monterey - Vegas - Texas.

Brand new GT30, Tires still look brand new.

Good handling, Good feel and response, Solid Confidence Grip.

 
Honestly makes you wonder why they keep putting that 023 on the FJR year after year for stock when there are so many better choices out there....

I'd way rather spend money over and over again for quality/security/traction/performance from the get go... I have barely any miles on my 15 and the 023 will be replaced ASAP.

+1 ... the BT023 was the smoothest wearing tire I've had on my ST1300. (I don't use them as they're so stiff that they're difficult to get on the ST's rim; the PR3 or PR4 is much easier to install, so that's what I use).

I agree, they are smooth wearing, but the old versions of them scalloped on the front really bad, perhaps they have fixed that.... I haven't had them since my 05, and moved on to PR2's & PR4's.....

I really like sticky tires, and that can be expensive, but I'd rather have the faith in the tire I have is going to give me that grip, maybe the new 023

I like the BT023GTs and didn't think the OEM BT023s were that bad -- until I replaced them with GTs.

I've run one set of T30 GTs and liked them. I got 7100 mostly touring miles out of them, and they felt fine all the way to the cord. I wore the last 3/32" off in less than 1000 miles on a ride in Arkansas with some folks that ran substantially harder than I expected, and I rode the last 180 miles with belt showing. It was sort of bumpy feeling by the time I got home

I don't think the PR4s on it now feel any better or worse, but I've got less than 500 miles on them. Time will tell, but if they don't last substantially longer, I'll go back to the T30s.

 
T30's grip very well, but I think the 23 GT's wear better and longer. Currently around 7,000 on the T30, got 10,000 on the 23 GT, with mostly straight-line driving on both. T30 showing signs of cupping.

 
I put a set of the 023GTs on my last FJR. Loved them for the less than 1,000 miles I put on them before I totaled it. Phooey! I'm ready to try another set on my new to me 2012 or some of the T30s.

I also am not a big fan of the 023's. 3k miles and ready to chuck'em. Can't wait for the Michelin man to show up wearing his Santa suit.

 
I really liked the T30 Gt's. Just wish they would have lasted longer. The rear was done at around 3800 miles, while the front still looked good. I think that the front T30 Gt and rear PR2 would be a good combination, and might have to give it a try.
