...................I will start with, he is alive and not in danger of dieing !!!!!!.......... ** I will post all updates on Brodie, here at post #1**

He was on his way back from OM's place after installing the spider fix, he didn't want to slab it home so he was on highway 160 south

of Sacramento. Now Brodie is a little sketchy with the details..... he black out a couple of time at the scene... apparently a pick up truck crossed

the line and hit him head on! Brodie said, he saw a pumpkin size hole in the windshield of the truck and the guy jumping out of the truck saying he was

sorry and what could he do to help. then Brodie remembers being loaded in to life flight and the landing at UC Davis.

I just got off the phone with Brodie again, he says, the bike is totaled but he needs all his stuff out of his tank bag and cases... paperwork, Ipad......

Bike is at..

Rays Towing #916-776-2773

14255 Railroad Ave

Walnut Grove, Ca.

...........More in minute, calling his wife...

Brodie is not at UC Davis anymore, he was medical transported back to San Jose to Kaiser ( on Santa Teresa Blvd )......

= He is in: Rm# 3E 361 .. Bed #1.. 408-972-7304 = Broderick J. Maher

I am sure He could use some encouragement.....

.................... Update......................7/5/10 1:15pm

Talk with his wife, she is thankful he is alive and she is holding up pretty good, Says to say thank you for all the forums help

and good JuJu ........

.......................Update.................... 7/5 2:45pm

Talk to Brodie and his wife Linda and OM,

I will visit Brodie at hospital today, get a release for bike, personal items, Etc. Michael says he can pick up stuff tomorrow and

get it personal items back here to Brodie. Brodie says, leave the bike. just farkles etc.

...........................Update........................... 7/5 9:30pm

Just left the hospital, our boy is in good spirits. I took some pics and video, had him give his first hand explanation and

description of the scene. Now to upload and get them posted. I have the release for the tow yard and I talked with

OM to get that info to him... and to make sure he bathes and shaves his legs before he shows up to claim Brodies gear... :D

..................Pic's.......... ...............................................Mr Happy's parking space ...........His room with a view...

...................................Update.......................................7/7

I spoke with Patrick, he is on his way to pick up the bike with Al. .... I called the towing yard, fees have been payed and Teri in the main

office is up to speed on who is arriving to pick up the bike, also the bike will be transported straight to Brodies house today!!!

Teri in the front office said, Brodie sure has some great friends !! I explained, yes he does ... we are all part of the FJRFORUM and we take care

of own, for sure. and I told her, if she looked up " going the extra mile for someone" she would see Brodies picture there..........

........................................Update.........................................7/7 2:55pm

Bike is back at Brodie's house ... tucked in the backyard. Brodies son took some pics... front end is wasted you

might not even know it was a FJR.... And the is a dent in the tank where your Nuts would hit.... but nobody's

nuts could make a dent this long and that deep....... Now I know how he survived!! :D :D

I took Al took this restaurant around the way from Brodie's place ... we ate and told lies, he is on his way back home about 45 minutes ago.............. and

Brodie should be released from the hospital anytime now and on his way home too......

Oh my God, Brian; what a tragedy. I'm too far away to help, other than send prayers and best wishes to Brodie. As this situation becomes clearer, just let us on FJR Forum know what we need to do!!!

Holy **** man...Thank God he's mostly ok. I'm far away like Don, but if there's anything we can do from a distance, let us know. Sending prayers out.

**Edit**--Ok, stupid question of the week...What is Brodie's name? I knew it and now I forget. I called the hospital but it went to the nurses station and they had no idea what a Brodie was.

We gotta stop doing this ****. Good mojo coming his way.
Got that right! Prayers being lifted up for Brodie and family while they get through this tough time.

Glad he's at least alive...he's doing better than two local (to me) riders that died Saturday when a drunk driver crossed the center line and hit them early yesterday morning. LINK

Holy ****.

I was thinking about taking that route home this morning. Instead I took i-80. I could have totally stopped off and grabbed that stuff.

If nobody else can, I will go grab that stuff and deliver it wherever needed.

PM me if nobody else offers.

This sucks! Karma sent Brodie. Hang in there you tough old ******* and don't worry about the bike, it's just a thing. Things can be replaced.

Dang, was shocked reading the topic line...

Glad he's doing ok under the circumstances.

Just got the harness for spider fix last week and now this...

Best wishes for a fast and complete recovery, hang in there Brodie! Sending mucho healing juice your way.

I sat here a minute while the chills ran through my body. I got the courage to open up the thread thinking the worse. Prayers to be said with a good conclusion in the end. Heel quick padre.

****! Exactly my reaction when I saw this thread Dave. I'm glad he is alert enough to worry about his Ipod -- that's a good sign. Any details appreciated and let us know what the man needs. He's a tough man, so I'm hopeful he'll be painting another bike gawd-awful colors soon. How the hell could a driver miss seeing Brodie's bike?!!!

Prayers sent.

Brodie, after meeting and visiting with you in Moscow last summer, I was really impressed by how tough you were. Hit by a elk on the way and continuing the trip on a heavily damaged bike and then top that off with a little 24 hour 1000 mile ride. So sorrry to hear about your latest mishap and praying for a full recover. Hope you will be able to make it to Eureka because I was looking forward to seeing you again and introducing you to my wife. If you cannot make it I look forward to seeing you at a future FJR event.

I do not post much but I feel like I know him from reading all his posts. I have both his fixes on my bike which I thank are a part of him. Hopefully he will be better soon. I just tried calling and he was taken down for a procedure. The Nurse said he would be back in his room in 30 minutes or so. Prayers and good thoughts sent his way.
