I'm now hoping that on Tuesday, the Ophthalmology results concur with the Optometry results.
There was a concurrence :) Feb 15th is the date for the surgery. It will be a good thing. :yahoo: Usual disclaimers - blindness, detached retina, etc - I won't be able to play the violin afterward ;)
Too bad about the violin playing, I'm sure you played just as well as Holmes fellow.

That's the right attitude. But after my eye surgery, it was really true. I couldn't play the guitar any more.

And I could before.

Moral: stay away from the table saw when you're wearing an eye patch.

...And probably won't be able to perform brain surgery either, I suppose. :D

I had cataracts in both eyes. Tiny ones that would be no problem for many years, except that the one in my right eye was right in the fricken middle of my vision! :glare: Had surgery in that eye five years ago with no complications. I remember the procedure being a rather intense 7 minutes, but the subsequent lack of glare, better vision, etc, makes me glad I live in an age that allows for such treatments.

Do carefully follow the regimen of antibiotics and, especially, the anti-inflamatory drops, even long after your eye is feeling 100%. Good luck, Roger!
