Well, CFR 2009 has wrapped up. As far as I could tell, everyone had a great time.

I'd like to thank all those who attended and your positive feedback. The smiles on your faces after coming back from a ride on some of the best roads on the continent is gratification enough for the effort put in.

Hope everyone has a safe Ride home... and wherever the road takes you before you get there!

Home safe and sound after a fabulous time at CFR 2009! It was my first FJR rally, and great to finally meet folks from the forum and put faces to names.

Another huge thank you to all the organizers and everyone who came and made it such a great event!

+1 My first rally. Met some new people, enjoyed simply amazing rides, and nearly communed with nature three times on the way home today: we had a large deer leap in front of the Seattle group, whew! and not a mile earlier we braked hard to avoid getting up close and personal with a large grizzly on the way to the border. In Republic, a 2 week old fawn galloped beside the group while mama doe watched in horror. And we saw a large buck in full rigor mortis at the turn off to Bluett Pass. Those animals have a death wish or something!

Hats off to the Canadian crew for putting together a most excellent rally.

Thanks to all the organizers for the hard work. Great rally, saw old friends and met new ones and rode in some spectacular country up there north of the border. Cold rainy ride back to the PNW today...It was 43 crossing North Cascades this afternoon. Thought we were on 'Wild Kingdom' this morning with all the four legged critters out. The bear was definitely a surprise.

See y'all next year.

Great rally, great hotel staff, fantatistic food and service at the banquet, and beautiful location.

Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

(Two more days of riding should get us home)

Sooooo, would next week be to soon for the next one? Ladies and gentlemen, you are the best. A magnificent event, location, facilites, and the speaker was most interesting with her trip around the world. We are a bunch of amateurs next to her. You didb't even do too badly with the weather.

Petey and I are in Moses Lake, WA after dodging a number of deer in BC, but no Grizzlies, working our way back to our respective HELL. Petey's wife said that it is supposed to be around 100 for some days in Oklahoma. Maybe we can just take the long way home and get back someitime in Sep.

Well I now know whete to spend the month of August, traveling around BC. Thanks to you all, I now know where Utopia is.

Thanks again for all of your efforts and putting the screws to whoever follows you next year.

What an amazing get together. Hats off to the Rallymaster crew. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
Great summary...the only thing I can add is that the Rallymaster crew really knows how to stretch a Canadian dollar...that was the most bang for buck of any rally I have ever attended.

I'd like to add my own sincere "Thank You" to the entire CFR organizing committee for putting this event together. You guys rock!! (Except you, Jeff. After your Vanna White impersonation with the auction items, I'm not so sure you rock. You might actually roll... ;) )

Without a doubt CFR 2009 was far and away the best rally I've had the pleasure of attending!! Outstanding value for money, outstanding organizing committee, outstanding venue, outstanding location. The only thing left to say is...

Thanks to you all, I now know where Utopia is.
+1

I've lived in this province all my life, but my forays into the interior have pretty much been limited to the major hwys. I am awed by the roads in the Nakusp area; twisty, fun, scenic.......where the hell were the LEO's???

as SockMonkey said, WOOHOO!

Great rally, great locale, great venue, great people. Thanks again to the dedication and hard work of the organizers for making the last 4 days an absolute blast!

Double ditto // gunny !!!

Marianne and I had had an awesome time.

What a great time this past weekend! Not to mention all the good riding up, while there, and back home. Thanks again to the great CFR organization team for a well put on event at an affordable price. It's the people that make these events so fun and this one was just the right size to enjoy the company w/o losing yourself in the crowd.

@Barb - nice to meet you in person. Don't spank the monkey! That's Mrs. Sockmonkey's job.

Apologies to anyone I kept away until dawn on Friday night/Sat morning. Don't blame Bearly, though it was some of his booze that kept us talking.

I look forward to the next Canadian event. RTE anyone?

and did the ladies do the spa thingy ???
didn't happen without pics...lotsa pics...lotsa closeups...
Yes, and I think there was also supposed to be pictures of MEM smacking Barb's ass if I remember...

But jus' pics of Barb's ass would be OK too I think.

I'm sure no one would object. ;)
