hehe, if we charged admission, just think of the fun we could afford to have...*winx*

I emailed the Kuskanax, you are added, bunkie!
Just gets better and better :)

I hope I get my time off work!

What major airports are nearby Nakusp so I could pick up my wife before the rally? She would fly out of LAX and hoping for a non-stop flight.
Hi Ed, the best would be Kelowna a sweet ride over to Nakusp. Kay and I will be leaving from Kelowna on the morning of the 18th. Would love to meet you & Jacquie there maybe the evening of the 17th, have dinner at one of the wineries, then get an early start on the 18th.

John
I think I have Jacquie talked into taking the 2 weeks off, if her employer will approve it. She is putting in for it this Tuesday and is not sure when she will get a reply. The other problem would be, will there any availability to register, secure a room and dinner tickets? I hope it isn't too late.

We might be somewhere around Banff before the CFR if she rides up with me.

Kelowna is closest

then Vancouver or Calgary

www.westjet.com
Actually Spokane is closer than Calgary or Vancouver and not all that much further than Kelowna.

Going to Spokane would:

- avoid the Airport Customs and Immigration (which sucks!)

- avoid a ferry ride you'll probably do while up hereanyway

- more likely allow for a direct flight (WestJet does not fly direct between Kelowna and LA)

- be a little bit more direct a route for you.

Just my $0.02!

If there is enough interest, I can arrange for 'Airport Transfers' from/to Calgary. Issue will be timing everyone to arrive/leave close enough together.

If there is a need, we can transfer a few from Kelowna to Nakusp on Wednesday or Thursday, as Sylvia is planning to take her van there anyway. While no direct flights from LA to Kelowna, it is only a 45 minute hop from Vancouver to Kelowna with lots of flights to choose from. As Jeff noted, the Customs in Vancouver can be a drag if you catch it at the wrong time, and you do have to leave good time between flights as you change terminals too.

Only 5 spots remain.

with 7 'Pending' Registrations.

If you've been on the fence, you'd better jump quickly!

Remember, new paid registrations trump 'Pending' registrations!

Registration, check.

Reservation, check.

10 days off, check.

Passport card, oops, uh, pending...

Below is a shot of my schedule. I'm scheduled to work the days with blue boxes on them. STNW means "Shift Trade Not Working". Those guys will owe me the time by then, so no paybacks hanging over my head when I get back.

I'll have to SS1.25K it home to be back for work Tuesday, but the ride there should be fairly recreational....

It's beginning to look a lot like :yahoo:

Please, noooooo...it's Telestaff! Arrgggghhhhhhhh.
We affectionately call it "Teleshaft". But it's a far sight better than what we had before it. Now, I can just go online and put myself on sick leave without even having to call the boss. And we had to fill out forms for a shift trade and get them approved. Not any more! Click, click, forget. Just don't forget to show up when you're supposed to be there and no worries!

Got something better?

[/hijack]

sigh...understood, but damn..it'd be great if you could make it out!
Tyler and Barb- The CFR version of the FJRChik/Chick show at NAFO.

All included for the low rally fee price....

Hmmm....careful Toe, ya just never know who all might end up in Nakusp in June ;)

My misguided youth must be history. Got a shiny new passport in the mail so I guess I am going. Haven't been to Nakusp in at least 10 years.

I just hope all that unnecessary stuff that happened at NAFO doesn't get carried over to this event and we just have a good time. I'm just saying....

Well, as I wasn't there and have zero idea what you are referring to, I cannot comment. I am just hoping there will one or two people with a sense of humor, and a sense of fun. If not? Thankfully there are a TON of amazing roads in that neck of the woods; plenty of amazing places to ride. Yeehaw!

hey don't they all talk funny up there in Canada???
R
Richard, I am having really great success in teaching my son Seth (12) to speak Canadian. He says "Beauty, eh?" perfectly.

Describing backbacon to him, he thinks he'll like that better than bacon we get at Safeway. Doesn't know what "hoser" is!

Living in Phoenix, Seth has no idea why you wear a "touque". Luckily, his Papa knows what "six packs of two-four" means!

you lost me at "eh"........

But i am looking forward to some real bacon sandwiches....

Do they have Fish and chips up there or are they still those crappy french fries???

Ask for poutine. Here.. I'll help you out here.. pronounciation: 'POO-TIN'.

If its served with life vest orange cheese.. give it to somebody as a gift. Trust me on this.

Damn it, good thing its almost lunch time... this post made me hungry! I feel an artery hardening session in my near future.

For god sake, while your here, do not refer to the 'roof' as a 'ruff', or 'wash' as 'warsh' and you'll get looked at REAL funny if you ask for a 'soda'.

If your ever up this way, give me a shout, I'll take you out for some fresh pickeral in Killarny. I'm not a big fish fan, but THAT is good.
