Fred, this room you want to share--is it a room you have reserved, or a room you're hoping somebody who has a room reserved already will offer to share with you? (And I'm not standing.)

No, Mike I've not reserved one yet. Wasn't sure I could make this trip until recently

I can see I need to stop by this place more often to keep OM in check....

Ya, you need to beware of this blonde on her Road Glide, jsns

Well folks, come the 14th (which is next week, BTW), 'ole Pants will be at T-minus 3 months before blast off on what is shaping up to be one fine and dandy ride.

To be clear, I've got some riding to do before then but ****, seems like just the other day when CFR was 6 months away. Maybe it's me, but time is moving right along and I'm starting to get a little stoked about this one!! I just took a gander at the registration page and it would appear that we are 81 strong. Now that's not too shabby at all. I'm just thinking about how hard it's going to be to herd that many cats into one picture for the ride report. Challenge accepted, to be sure. I'll just sick Tyler on ya'll.

Anyhoo - I'm just checking into this thread to say I'm thinking about this trip and when I do, it makes me happy. And happy is good, any way you can get it.

Stay thirsty, my friends....

I think last time they got everybody down to the big launch ramp at the lake. There was plenty of room. I don't remember how many were there but it was a good crowd

I remember that, I wanted out of that heard of M/C's so got myself out of there pretty quick. Fairlaner didn't even have time to light up a smoke!

The group shot you speak of is here:

Can you see yourself? I took the shot, so I was a no-show.
Standing beside Fairlaner and behind SacMike & Plugger. Beamer Don & Seth to the left of Fairlainer. Arms crossed as I don't usually like flipping folks off.

It's nice to be able to blow up the picture and actually recognize more than a few faces!

Thanks I like doing that.

Great picture. I can't see all of them, but I'd estimate that to be in the neighborhood of 30 bikes.

With 80 + registrants so far, I'm going to need a wider lens. And a shooting point from the 2nd or 3rd story. I could likely do it in the hotel parking lot. At the risk of suggesting anything structured, how would ya'll like the idea of scheduling the group picture? I've done that at other gatherings (non-FJR). Morning is better because participants can do this without hindering their riding plans. Call it 9:00 am or whatever, line 'em up, and by 9:07, you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit.

80-ish FJRs in one frame would make a pretty cool picture. JSNS

We had well over 200 at the first NAFO. Crazy job of herding cats.

I remember, that took forever! Wasn't it high ball time before the dinner?

80+ in Nakusp is a lot. It's a really small town. I still haven't set up an account to post pics since photobucket dropped me but if anyone wants to PM me with an e-mail to post a few, I have a couple great ones of Nakusp I took in June 2015 when I was there.

Nakusp can suck up a lot of people, surprisingly enough. I spend a lot of time on the lake walk with java in hand. Very peaceful, and the townfolk who tend the gardens along there are super friendly

as much as I want to be there right now, am guessing there is a bit of snow atm LOL

Speaking of snow, the pass on hwy 40 from longview to Canmore (Kananaskis) opens June something but I have forgotten when, this would be a nice route to Nakusp ( W. from Canmore to Revelstoke, and down to Nakusp.) for some. Actually 6 to Pincher Creek (super 8) from Waterton lakes is cool, followed by 22 N. to Longview.
