In Fernie staying with family for the day, catching up with laundry and internet stuff

Ran US 89 up from Great Falls and then the East side of Glacier then around the bottom on US 2 and then up US 93

Brilliant sunny day with moody storms pouring over the tops of the mountains.

Best day of the trip, going to have to dump another load of pictures on you.

I haven't even started looking at the video.

Stopped at Great Falls off to Glacier then Fernie

Petey and I are a day behind rickcorwn, we are in Kalispell, MT tonight. We are leaving tomorrow am for Banff and should be in Nakusp Thursday noon or so.

Heading out in the morning for Libby or Kalispell and on to Nakusp on Thursday.

Monday we rode to Radium Hot Springs and today up the Icefield Parkway to Jasper. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RIDE!

RogDeb and Hycle's are getting unpacked at Spokane, WA. Making a run for the border in the morning.

We will be taking US14A into Cody and then into Yellowstone. Beartooth is still very iffy we are taking US 14 and then on to Glacier

Hi...this is wheaton on griff's laptop. we are in lewiston, id after being in Stanley, and before that in cooke city...

I hate all of you.

:D

Poised for the final leg into Nakusp tomorrow. The last two days I've been to Yaak and back. Also a few of Canada's best Parks Kootenay, Banff and Yoho. I've had a couple of close calls, Pie Emergencies. Fortunately there a good number of restaurants and cafes with some excellent pie, and cheesecake, and carrot cake, and ...

RogDeb and HYCLE are at the Kuskanax Lodge, looks like our cruise ship had a little problem, so we are eating ice cream in the room.

Heading South along the Icefield Parkway today we came upon some cars parked on both sides of the road. Some "fool" was standing in the lane giving us the "slow down" sign so I thought, "Oh-oh!"

"Hey....I know that guy!" It was Pegscraper and Jacquie! We stopped and had a nice visit then continued on our journey South. As we turned to get gas @ the Lake Louise off ramp we saw the Highlanders. Dave and Dianne turned around and we had another great visit. They headed up to Icefield Central and we turned West toward Revelstoke. We had lunch (No...no photos O.M.) in Golden and continued our trip through "scattered showers". We checked into our hotel and decided to check out downtown Revelstoke. We found a liquor store so exskibum could get some red wine and saw an FJR parked at a hotel. Of course we wennt to check it out.....The Highlanders were in town. They'd just gotten there so we all went to dinner (Yes...photos...but no way to post them. Maybe Pegscraper can do so once we're at Nakusp).

Nakusp tomorrow! :yahoo:

Note: Old Michael...you can hate us all ou want. It was your decision to NOT ride here....and your loss. Wait until you se some of the photographs! :bleh:

I've been laying low, since I'm camping and no laptop, but I met up with Gfran and Cfran (Cindy) on Tuesday and we've been riding together. Right now we're in Kelowna, B.C., about 220 miles west of Nakusp, so we'll be pulling in sometime tomorrow afternoon, hopefully early. Gorgeous scenery, some showers, blissfully moderate temps (it was hot as blazes all the way up to the same area last year on the way to NAFO.)

And Old Michael. We all hate you too.

The parking lot's starting to fill up here at the Kuskanax: the RogDebs and Hycles followed me home; Kasey and Doris rode over from Alberta; so did Bearly Flying (later); so did Canucklehead and his lovely bride (they delivered some registration stuff); Hal and Steve from Sundre, AB had dinner with a gang of us (shhh Steve rides a ST1300 - don't laugh out loud - it's not polite!); and I met Longrider from Cali.

Going to be a big day tomorrow. Registration doesn't open until 3:00 - I sure hope my bride (Sylvia) gets that vanload of stuff over the Monashee Summitt in time!

Ride careful y'all - there are bambies everywhere!

I hate all of you.
:D
Don't.........it rained today. You'd have had to pull over and hide anyway... :p
Mmmmhmmm -- can't remember ever giving this or any rain suit 5 straight days of use, with several more appearing from the forecast on TV here in Revelstoke a few minutes ago. But then, there's been some great scenery and we've managed to stay dry anyway.

Not sure if Mike's got any chocolate body goo, Barb, but maybe that's why he's been noticing the Canadian"adult" shops. He's got lots of other kinds of chocolate, though -- for some raeason, your post about fudge has had him on a daily chocolate collecting foray.
