My current policy with Foremost AARP comes up shortly and I was checking around. Progressive beats the pants off my current carrier, Foremost/AARP.

I have 3 bikes, 08 FJR, 07 Yamaha VStar 1300 and 05 Suzuki M50. Annual premiums are: about $600 for all 3 at Foremost, about $455 at Dairyland and $365 at Progressive. Full coverages for all with roadside with trip interruption, disappearing deductibles 100/300/100 on the liability and 25/50/10 on the uninsured/underinsured and 100/1000 comp/collision deductibles.

Check em out. I live in Washington State, married, age 61 and clean driving record for other variables.

I almost fall out of my chair when I saw the differences in rates. Worth the hour to shop around.

You do need to shop around. I have been with Progressive for 7 years now. A very happy and loyal customer of theirs, until...... My policy just renewed for another year. And the *******s raised my rates 32% due to a 'risk re-assessment for the state of Arizona'. Whatever.

I will soon be shopping around also to see if I can find a better deal and give Progressive the big :finger:

They raised mine also a few years aga and I dropped them also and went to state farm..

I ended up going with HD Insurance (Harley Davidson Insurance) which is provided by Progressive, was significantly cheaper than every other option I looked at (including Progressive!), and you don't have to have a Harley to get it. I'm not really sure why it's cheaper, but I wasn't going to ask either. Worth checking out if you're shopping around!

Just switched everything (home/auto/bikes) to Allstate, and saved about $500. I had used Progressive for the bikes, and Allstate had them beat by about $150. Now I pay around $600 for high limits and an umbrella for the FJR, the Husky dirt bike, and the new Triumph Bonneville (it added only $120 a year!).

Pays to shop around.

I hope you never have to find how bad there service is. After being with State Farm for 30 years in Vermont their service went from very good to very POOR. One of the local body shops I deal with confirmed this. Didn't take me too long to drop them. YMMV
