Dang, she's a beaut, would have given me a credible excuse for another south-to-California trip.

Alas, I've become wary of Canuckistan import / future warranty claim problems (USA bike in Canada) so I have to back away.

GLWS!

Re-listing. I keep trying to decide whether to sell my Tenere or my FJR. My favorite is usually whichever I'm riding. Anyhow, $9500 obo. Will take a week or so for the title.

Received a little interest on craigs. Less here. Wondering if the big hurdle is the fact that there's a note on it, my price, or something else. Not that I'm that anxious to sell :) but I'm curious why. Feel free to PM with suggestions! Thanks.

With a "note" cannot you just go to the title holder at the time of sale and pay it off? Seems like I did that at a bank once.

The lender is Capital One, who handled Yamaha's financing for brief time I think in 2016. Effectively, it's a Yamaha "credit card" with a low rate for the new bike purchase and a more typical credit card rate for other dealership purchases (which I never made). They announced several months ago that they weren't facilitating Yamaha financing any longer, and it looks like Yamaha has moved back to Synchrony, who I think handled most of Yamaha's factory financing in 2014/2015 also. Not sure what's going on there. Rates have varied a little bit; looks like tier 1 has come down a bit for 36 month loans, but gone up a bit for 60 month loans, which is what I signed up for.

In any case, the upshot is the lender isn't local. I can make the payment online instantly, but the title I believe will have to be mailed. It would of course potentially expedite a transaction if I went ahead and paid it off now and got the title. But if the bike doesn't sell I'd rather have the cash handy and keep making the payments.

Since you asked....If I did a fly and ride down to buy your bike I wouldn't be comfortable having your bike, a bill of sale and the promise of getting the title in the mail. I think that's what keeping the interest down. Just my opinion, and that is a very nice FJR!

Ah, yes. I would not be comfortable with such a scenario either. My idea was that with a little lead-time (10 days or so), I could have the title in hand when the transaction took place.

This way just requires a little more planning is all. I'd basically just be looking for the buyer's assurances that he'll buy the bike before I pay down the title. Purchase price in cash would then be exchanged for the bike with the pink.

It still complicates things for folks. I think you are correct in figuring that is part of the problem.

In other news, I just bought Blassoff's Seat Concepts foam.

I don't know whether I'm coming or going. My idea was to let go of either my Tenere or my FJR, whichever sold first. Really not that excited about selling either. LOL. Fortunately, I'm in no rush and have only gotten low-ball offers and requests for undesirable trades.
