Has anybody had this procedure on their right thumb?

If so how long before you were back riding?

How long did it take for it Not to be a factor to consider , when taking a long trip?

If I remember right when my sister had this done it took about 6-8 weeks before she was back to doing her usual routine. That was several years ago.

I think I might have the same issue, going to ask my Ortho-surgeon brother-in-law about it. It sucks when your thumbs hurt!

Deb had this same surgery done last year, coupled with a carpal tunnel op.

After the operation came a temporary 1st cast, then a second more permanent cast. Thumb and hand exercises after cast removal.

All told, she was back to her normal self in 8 weeks, but, she did "baby it" some.
