I was seriously considering this, it looked like it would be a really good time. Flying into Vegas and renting a bike sounded like phun! But!, upon viewing those snowy incriminating images (there)?.... well, I can get enough of that (crap) right here in NY during February. So for that reason..... I'm out!

Where would be the best place to fly to and rent for this affair?
Definitely fly in to Las Vegas, that's what Hosette Maria Elena - MEM did last time eh! FYB here's what I sent to the Goalie Hoser from Ontario, Republica de Canuckistan, eh:

Don Stanley to Rob Munro if you wanted to try out a new Indian Scout, eh! https://www.eaglerider.com/reservation/motorcycles
Thanks Don. I had already been looking at their website. K1600 very pricey. I was considering the Goldwing, but the Indian looks interesting. Still dreaming right now....

Flights into Vegas are probably going to be the cheapest too.

That's just over the passes... once you get into DV, normal temps in DV are around 72 degrees... mild and sunny. B)

It's good to have dreams... make your reservations now in case they come true... you can always cancel. ;)

I took this trip this past October. I rode my FJR to Vegas from my home in Dana Point. I met two friends who flew in from different parts of the country at Las Vegas BMW. We then rented three GS1200's and began our tour of the area, including Valley of Fire and Death Valley. It was my first trip there and it was fantastic. I'll be following this thread in hopes of doing it again if my schedule permits.

I have to say that LV BMW took good care of us,and as much as I hate to admit it, I loved the GS1200. It's a spendy piece though!

Booked 2 nights at the Longstreet.

I hope to meet up with everyone there.

Planning a moto trip out of Cedar in Feb. is pretty iffy so I'll probably be in 4WD Tacoma.

Depending on the weather and road situation, you may be in good company!

This is a placeholder for a jaunt to Death Valley to sniff the (hopefully abundant) wildflowers. More details to come.

I'm booked for Death Valley. Been looking forward to this!

A large group from both FJR Forum & AZBeemers went a few years back, rained and snowed. The mountains around DV were inundated with the White Stuff, but they were dry in the Valley. Had a great time. Our group of about 40 bikes left out of Lake Havasu in rain, stopped in Vegas (Henderson) for lunch, then continued on. It was a great time. Had most of the old farts of the Forum on that ride.

I hope Papa (Chuey, Chewy, Chuy, Chuie) & Donna can make it.

note: Some trailered but tried to hide the trailers, failed!!
