I have been prepping the bike for the spring/summer excursions (including NAFO) and am trying to pack as much crap as possible onboard. Opinions on deer whistles? Or am I just going off the deep end?
yeah...and if you used Google you'd see that people have USED and NOT USED them on their bikes and talked about it many times on this forum before.yeah...I understand google. Just wondered if anyone USED one on their bike
Thanks for your reply to my question WC. You ride a lot more than I do and it is ASSumed that you have not hit any deer with them on. I will not feel stupid sticking a couple on my ride.Confession time: I have two of these whistles on the FJR.
No, I haven't.Thanks for your reply to my question WC. You ride a lot more than I do and it is ASSumed that you have not hit any deer with them on.
First I've heard of that -- that sheds a whole new light on the issue....State Farm approved/recommended.<snip>....the Deer Whistles that State Farm gives out to their customers actually do have some amount of effect on White Tail and Mule deers.
Here's some more help...maybe?:But just on the outside chance that they do have some positive effect on some deer, I think I can afford they tiny amount of wind drag they induce.
That's the funniest **** I've read today... :yahoo:Added bonus.....deer whistles prevent kangaroo strikes. I never, ever have had one since running a pair of them myself.
Come to think of it...I've never hit a street ho either. These things are amazing! :yahoo:
