damn Phil sorry bout ya trouble but glad you got it fixed.

i have been out of pocket for the last couple of days and am just now seeing this

Update Tuesday, 7/15 -

I have just retrieved my FJR from Renton Motorcycles in Renton, WA. They have a dealership in an old Home Depot building, and carry ALL Japanese brands, plus are adding a wing for H-D. Even have a cafe and pub upstairs, overlooking the sales floors. With a team of 12 technicians, and 74 bikes waiting for service, they put me at the front of the list. 6 hours later, I'm RIDING, not pushing! They even loaned me a helmet to get back to the hotel. Obviously, I cannot say enough good things about this organization. The service invoice reads: "Inspected linkage, found loose adjuster bar. Adjusted properly, checked for codes. No codes found. Indicator flashes, then stays on. Test rode bike after adjustments, shifts fine."

Thanks again, folks. I've had contacts from down-home brothers and sisters, as well as Forum members in BC, WA, OR, ID, and even AK. I've had offers of trucks, trailers, tie-downs, dealer lists, mechanical assistance, and a bed to sleep in, among others. And just words of concern and encouragement can go a long, long way when you are far from home and helpless. Son Eric and I plan to be back on the road tomorrow, completing our tour thru OR, CA, NV, ID, and into Golden for the Big Bash. Y'all are the best of the best. Danke, gracias, merci, and thanks! Phil

Glad to hear you're back on the road. Hard to understand why cagers don't understand the brotherhood of bikers when you see something like this. I'm proud to say "I belong". Long live the brotherhood.

Good to hear your on the road again. If you need anything in central Or. just ask.

Glad to hear that everything is well now. Renton MC is where I take my FJR. They have treated me well. I am glad that they were able to get you in. Good luck on the rest of your trip.

oh rats!

I'm glad to hear you're riding again Phil - I'm only half an hour from Lion's Bay - I wish I'd seen this earlier and could have pitched in with the rescue mission.

Again - glad to hear you're moving again - ride safe - Bull

MOST Excellent! When you have time, Phil, be sure to post your comments about Renton Motorcycles in the Dealer Feedback section! See you at NAFO mi amigo!

Really awesome that you and your son are back on the road!

I hope yours is the most "interesting" story about the travels to NAFO :)

and, definately post about your experience with that dealership!!! It's not always a positive experience with a dealership.

Kudos to FJR_EH as well; willing to put a part on himself, no cost labor and willing to do whatever to help phil get back on the road!! I hoist a cold one to you FJR_EH!!! :D

Phil... what part of kali and when???

Crap Phil,

I'm just now seeing this. I knew you were broken down from the PM you sent me.

Otherwise, I was out of pocket for the most part.

Glad to hear you and Eric are getting back on the road again.

Not sure if you still have my cell #. I'm going to PM it to you just in case you don't.

Don't hesitate to call.

Thanks to all for helping out a brother in need!!!!

Robert

Phil, enjoy the rest of your trip. I've been following this story hoping all will end well, and have you back on the road again. Well, I'm impressed with all the help and encouragement that came your way, :clapping: and I'm not surprised. This is truly a brotherhood and I'm proud to have met many of you, and will meet others in the future. See you at NAFO. :yahoo:

Fantastic news, Phil.

Any of you reading this who are still feeling good may be wondering if you'll go to hell if you send Renton Motorsports a little note acknowledging how much you appreciate what they did for your riding buddy. I've got your answer...er, answers:

1) There's no such place as hell, except the one you create.

b ) Do it anyway.
