Disappointed in FJR headlights

Has anyone found an enhanced output bulb that provides reasonable longevity? The high vibration environment of a motorcycle spells an early demise for many of the high-output lights. I got 75,000 miles out of the OEM bulbs but wouldn't mind paying a premium for H4's with significantly more intensity. I'm not crazy about the blue-white bulbs like the Piaa posted above. Also, I would be interested in real information on lifetime - not just manufacturer's claims (maybe even a warranty for X years).
I've been using the H4 - Philips X-TREME POWER +80. The first set lasted about 60 000 KM (about 3 years), I've recently replace both with the same bulb.

My head lights were adjusted way low when I bought the bike so a good adjustment made a significat difference.. But these bulbs are easy to fit unlike HID kits, cheap and last quite well..

I've also fitted them to the wifes car without telling her, she commented the lights seem better.

I should also just make mention I wish the head lights of the cars were as good as the FJR.. It has the best head lights of any motor cycle I have ever owned. The only car which is equal to it is the old 1985 Toyota Corona.

I don't have a problem with the headlights on the FJR - better than on most bikes (and cars, for that matter). That said, I certainly wouldn't object to more light and illumination further down the road. Eyes don't work as well as they used to; especially at night.

My first night ride on the feej coincided with a heavy rainstorm. I thought my eyeballs were gonna melt from the intense reflection from the road signs!

IMO, the stock FJR headlights are superior to those of most cars I've driven, and far better than those on any bike I've ever owned. That being said, I live in deer and goat infested country, and regularly drive to work in the dark, so I intend to add some additional lights on the bike soon

My 2008 Subaru STi has better lights but that's because it uses a combination of driver-adjustable HIDs and projector reflectors. Short of that, any vehicle I've had that uses anything other than adjustable HIDs has never been "better". Perhaps "equal" or threw a different pattern because of reflectors/lenses/# of bulbs...

Saying that, it has the same sharp cut off as the FJR but doesn't bank into corners (and has 4 separate reflectors).

Anyway lights at night with high beam on are pretty good IMO. Low beam sucks at night.

No complaints on my part.... the wide beam pattern and the high beam distance is much better on my FJR than any of my riding friends' bikes. And for that reason, when riding in the dark, I am the front bike (also the lucky ******* that takes out the deer or object that will be waiting).

So Dave when did Bust switch from sheep to goats, I totally missed the news flash!

On Topic: Low beams do suck at night, but the FJR high beams are outstanding!

Ray's house during the Oregon trip. Why do you think he finally stopped humping your leg? He was outside molesting the goats.

He went after Mike's dogs too, but the teeth freaked him out.
