At age 40 I started taking a lo dose aspirin a day and started on Stantin ( Crestor) type drugs. In the UK study doing both of these decrease your risk of a heart attack 50% . Often you can do everything right and still have one (Remember Jim Fixx?) a lot of it is genetics.

Absolutley on the Genetics thing there HP. I may not be the best at my diet but it's waaaaay better than most and I don't smoke and I'm active in sports. I'll be on Crestor or Lipitor soon.

I'm going to pick up the low dose asprin that my doctor told me to take each day on the way home tonight. This is a wakeup call for all us guys on the crest of the hill. Glad your doing well.
