I never knew what a Degu was until I went here.
It's a Degu, I couldn't figure out why you were happy to have a dingus! Murph, thanks to the wiki with more words I don't know: precocial, octodontid, ... If I disappear for a while you know where to find me.

Hmm... good news...

I got a nice bonus in Feb. Enough for a heafty down payment on my bike.

I think all of my medical bills are handled. I had thought the were until I saw a friggin $34.00 bill hit my credit report as a collection. It has been paid and they sent the request to the agencies to remove it but no financing for me for a few more days. D&H may sell me one now with the DP so that I can lock in the Yamaha incentives.

Things are looking up.

Somebody....PLEASE put that photo up for caption in another thread!

Although the small community bank where my wife worked was closed down recently by the FDIC she's still working there as an FDIC contractor through the receivership process. This could continue for the next 6-9 months. If you saw the 60 Minutes show two weeks ago you saw what they went through (but the show was about a different bank).

Myself, I sold my business a little over a year ago (reason why I was able to ride 28k last year), but the buyer recently asked me to come to work for him part-time doing some sales. It's part-time, as I want to work, so I can still ride when I want/need to.

We've got our health, and all the bills are paid. Not to diminish the situations that others here may be in, including a couple of local friends of mine, but I'd have to say things are OK. At least nobody I know is selling their bikes.

IMHO, if you're feeling down by this whole economic mess simply turn off the TV and stop reading the newspaper headlines and you'll feel much better. Then go for a ride and you'll feel great.
