Map of Tioga Pass Route. Sam, are you turning into one of them IBR types? This could disqualify you for CBA.

Or the no-hightway version leaving from the original place on Bidwell or at the General Store at Rancho Murrietta.

IBR still too extreme for my tastes (and abilities).

We don't have to do Tioga although I hadn't been to Tioga last year. Did Ebbett's a few times. We can do whatever the group wants to do. I am flexible.

Look, All I need to know is the following;

Are we ditching OM?

Can we ratchet this up over 700KM?

And finally, is the meeting place next to Squeeze Inn, or Bed Bath and Beyond?

Is Beemerdon bringing doughnuts?

C'mon guys, help a fella out.

If yes to #1, I'm in.

If yes to #1 and #2, I'm way way way in.

If you settle on a start point I can locate I'm like super duper in.

If yes to #4,,, well duh!

Since Yosemite is "free" (I, too, have a pass) this weekend....that means every jerk from the valley floor (Madera, Fresno, Modesto, etc.) will be up there enjoying their "free" entry.

This might not be the best weekend to ride 120......Though I like Tom's route.

@ Tom, 420 miles? That's one fill-up for me.....

BTW, I really like the Ebbett's route coming home via Kingsbury Grade into Tahoe and West on Hwy 50.

Let's make the call for Ebbetts Pass. I like the long route to Tioga, but it means we will be in "express mode", and it might be fun to just take it easy. The ride past Heavenly on Kingsbury Grade could be interesting. It's MLK weekend, so the traffic in Tioga could also be kind of congested. We'll keep an open option for Sonora Pass, which is in the same general direction.

Lets go with Plan A, Ditch O.M. Meet at the Starbucks at Bidwell and Placerville Rd below Costco. KSU 9:00 AM.

Taken under advisement! The CBA board will convene to determine PC's CBA status ;)

Man, sure wish I could make this run, but no way. Please ride safe and RR up!

Wish I could hit this with you guys... Just checked, and remembered that the Mrs. is out of town all weekend. No sidecar, cannot fit two kids on the FJR.

Have a great ride, guys.

Barry, too bad about the babysitting chores. Looks like winter returns after this weekend, so we'll make the most of it.

I would love to join you guys on the ride but from the Bay Area that's a little bit longer of a trip than I want to take on considering how much would of it would be in the dark (let the "you're such a p*ssy" comments begin)....

sounds great, and sure hope to see some of your fancy photos :)

I don't blame you, Russ. With the short days you'd be riding in the dark a lot....but OId Michael says that about you in the Summer.

Told the boss I'm riding with the boys, I'm in! :yahoo:

She said I can work Sunday to make it up :glare:
Coolio! We'll see you between 0830 and 0845?

Tires checked, bags ready, clothes laid out, foot guards installed (I hate cold toes!), face shield polished, goodies for Sam and Tom in top case......I guess I'd better get some sleep.

Gas at the Chevron in Folsom tomorrow morning.
