Well it looks like my riding season will end on the 13th of september..

I will be going in for rotator cuff surgery.

Riding season is short enough here in wisconsin this just makes it shorter..

Its going to be a long winter.........
Sorry to hear it. Hope you heal quickly.

I had a whole 'nother surgery on April 13 and it looks like I'll get cleared to be back on the bike about October 13.

Regardless of how long your're off the bike, it makes a great incentive to heal as quickly as possible!

well its been 4 weeks since the surgery.... and I took the bike out...... NOW thats what I call therapy!!!!!!

Not much pain..... I'm ready....

I pushed myself to get back on the bike as soon as I could, ROM is better than before surgery so I'm better off that way....

Making sure I did the exercises the PT gave me helped

Jim, Best of luck to you. We'll be sending prayers and good wishes your way. As others have said, listen to the Dr. Especially for PT. I had to come back from Uganda for that surgery. All went well. Except for the time it took to start PT. They had a heck of a time freeing up the shoulder. That put me too close to my military fitness test.

I took the test and re-injured the shoulder. This time I had PT right away (two days). I now have full range of motion and almost all of my strength back.
