Newbie questions here,,,

Got some miles put on my ride today finally after changing the oil & filter plus the drive gear oil,

haven't got to flushed the coolant yet...

First impression is WOW, it's got some power forsure and the windshield control is very nice too..

My question is what temp bar does your bikes stay on while normal riding at 65 to 70 mph and about 80 degrees ?

Mine was 3 or 4 most of the time, is that about right ?

Another item is the bars, think im going to need them up & back just abit, would the Heli risers cure this,

also who makes a good tire gauge that I can keep on the bike ? I got 4 and they all had different readings

when I checked the tire presure before I rode....

Thanks for any info.....T Hill

That's about right for highway speeds. Slow traffic will allow the temp to climb sometimes to where the fans come on. FJR's have really stable engine temps overall.

Covered under the newbie stuff we suggested you read when you signed up here. Perfectly normal and not an issue unless you start to show many more bars or boil over.

This.

And before you venture into getting risers, make sure you investigate and learn the "Master Yoda Riding Technique". Your posture may be off. Google it and read up.
