I used to burn through rear pads when I was teaching MSF - used a lot of rear brake while demonstrating the exercises. At my last change, rears had a little more meat left than front, which is probably the right balance. I replaced the entire set at once with EBC HH's this spring.

Yeah...I could not believe the rears were so worn...I hardly ever use the rear brakes

Final Pre-Flight maintenance underway...

Hey, atleast you have your front forks on. :clapping:

Just had to mention tires, lol.

Went to leave work yesterday afternoon and found this little fella cozied up in my relatively new rear PR2. It went into the tire like a knife, leaving only the little pointy end sticking out (the left point in pic). Patched it enough to get home, but I figure the tire's done with the slice.

Guess a new PR3 gets added to the EOM pre-trip maintenance this weekend, as much as my credit card strongly disagrees...

That's also what I replaced the factory pads with. I did use the factory rear pads this time (the dealer had them in stock & they only wanted $33 for them)

Good news! Though it's definitely subject to change, Hendersonville EOM weekend weather is now in the 10 day forecast - 10%/20% rain with highs in the 70's - much the same as it's been all this past week. I rode highlands yesterday on the Blue Ridge Parkway and morning temp was upper 40's. Like many towns in the area Hendersonville is in a valley. If you want to monitor highland temps where we'll be doing a fair amount of riding Banner Elk, NC is a better indicator.

:yahoo: So far the weather is lookin pretty nice :yahoo:

Those temps look a little cool for a middle Ga feller. I may need some new long johns. How do you get out of those as the day warms up during a ride?

Great weather in KY, NC, GA, and SC yesterday. I was blessed with a clean, clear run across the Cherohala Skyway yesterday morning, and a fairly smooth run south on NC28. Now to find some RC and moon pies...

Bike is detailed and Packed! All that's left is Saddle Up on Tuesday morning, bedding down in Sanannah. Then strolling into Hendersonville on Wednesday. I'm Pumped! :yahoo:
