WooHoo. The weather forecast and the routes have me really looking forward to this weekend.

I'd like try EOM500 (at least a large part of it) on Friday and TB2 on Saturday. Anybody care to join in? Any group I can tag along with.

The plan is to check in Thursday evening while on lunch break-won't give me much time to socialize/look for a ride group Thur night. Show up Friday morning and RIDE!

Nitroman and I have 4 routes planned over four days. (Thursday thru Sunday) we can all meet Thursday evening over a beer and discuss the possibilities available. The Weather Gods are taking care of us this weekend! :yahoo:

Keep in mind that we will have to leave very early if we are going to attempt this ride.

Ya'll have fun... like an ugly woman... that route has 10' pole marks all over it.

Didn't one of you guys talk your way out of a sticky situation with a constable at the Breaks Rally?

I'll definitely be looking for y'all Friday morning at sunup.

Yes, but it was Will(builderwill)that got us pulled over...I was able to save us from a 30 over & reckless op. ticket in Pike County Ky. Constable Taylor ended up giving us his bussiness card & said if we're ever in the area to look him up, and maybe go get a beer  . That badge has saved my *** many times.

Note to technical riders: Don't ignore Southern Cross because it has "sightseeing" in the route description. There's no such thing as a milk run through those mountains - plenty of challenges in addition to beautiful countryside.

A few people mentioned "The Snake" in TN. I've got a route there I finished late so I didn't submit it to go on the web site. It's longish, 378 miles, and approaches The Snake from Lake James and by Boone, areas not covered in the other routes. If anyone wants it PM me with your email address. I'll send the GPX as an attachment.

Actually, we need to discuss routes Wednesday night and pick one for Thursday morning. I wouldn't mind doing the Snake though ...

Where's that donut place again? :clapping:

:yahoo:
Donuts?! Did someone say Donuts?! :dribble: I wanna know Too! :D
From BentAero's great writeup post:

This is why you need to come to Hendersonville:

That's right Ladies and Germs, a donut. There are only three places

to get a truly perfect chocolate donut in these United States; Winchells in southern Kalifornica, Louie's Bakery in Marshall, MI, and McFarlan's in downtown Hendersonville, NC.

You can get a donut anywhere, but it ain't a McFarlan donut. :yahoo:

I've ridden the Snake multitudes of times. It's a good road no doubt, but I'm more apt to ride roads that I haven't ridden yet... which leaves me with the Southern Cross on Friday. I'm definitely not riding the Dragon unless I get dragged there as I scream & kick.

I'm planning to do the Waterfall Ride on Saturday.

I may join you on Saturday. If we succeed in our EOM 500 attempt Friday I will have less lofty goals for Saturday!

I've never ridden the snake...I need a snake sticker

Me neither. We get to ride it up and back on the 500. Have to make a quick stop for a sticker.

I'm down with waterfalls on Saturday, but not sure on Friday yet. I've given some thought to the EOM 500 since Bob will probably wake me up in the process of preparing to leave, but I'm still, as yet, undecided, lol. BTW Bob, are you going to be so early you miss the full breakfast at our valhalla. ;)

I'm with Heidi, no Dragon shenanigans if it can be helped... :D

Looking forward to it!
