Mark your calendars, order a set of tires and pack your bags…

The Rally dates are Friday, 20 September 2013 to Sunday, 22 September 2013.

Tom, Huron52, started stirring the pot pretty early this year. Thanks to research and recon by Lee Davis and very good intel (recommendations) by the EOM faithful, we set crosshairs on Maggie Valley, NC and pulled the trigger. The Maggie Valley Inn & Conference Center manager and staff welcome us with open arms. A room block is reserved - details to be published as soon as everything is finalized.

The finder’s fee goes to Luvtoride, who suggested checking out the Maggie Valley Inn. I was initially hesitant, but had Maggie Valley and Cherokee mixed up. The Maggie Valley Inn offers nice rooms at a good rate, on-site restaurant, full service lounge / bar and is close to major highways but away from city congestion.

Maggie Valley puts us near the south end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Western highlands such as Deals Gap, the Cherohala Skyway and North Georgia are within range as well as areas north and east of Asheville, like Mount Mitchell and Roan Mountain.

Lee Davis along with HaulinAshe will spin up the mapping resources to lay out truly exceptional routes for us again this year.

The webmaster will be html’ing away over the holidays and inform everyone when the EOM web site is ready to go live.

Volunteers are needed, as these events do not just “happen”. I’ll start a separate post for that.

I'm in!! That's a perfect place to have for a base camp. Plenty of food in town and No crazy crowds. Hell.... Hendersonville was at least an hour from Deals Gap! This is most Excellent!! Thanks Luvtoride!

Great work on landing an ideal location!! Kudos to Heidi and Wayne for finding this venue and setting it up.

Definitely hoping to work this into the motorcycle vacation schedule again this year. :thumbsup:

There's always gonna be vehicles on the road...however, I doubt that the Mustangs will be doing the loop we did last year. I bet they're going to get their picture on the Dragon or going thru SMNP.

Either way, I love passing...
