Last minute preparations are complete, one more day of work then Meg and I are heading out Thursday morning. If all goes as planned, we will be arriving around 5 on Thursday afternoon.
I'll see you guys some time Friday night. I hope you have a little extra room in one of your bags.

MikeP1300 and I are heading your way tomorrow. We have a buddy riding a ST1300 joining us. In spite of that, we like him very much anyway. We hope to arrive in M/V Friday evening. How long just depends. For Pants, the true adventure of a bike trip is the unknowing.

I'm giving fair warning.... all 3 of us has packed enough Tequila to burn down a city. The last time I drank a bucket of fire water at a motorcycle rally, on the next morning, as I was walking to the bath house, I noticed a pair of underwear on the lawn and thought "Gee, somebody must have had a good time last night". As I got closer, I learned that they were mine.

ROTFLMAO Pants, that's happened to me once or twice. It's not the tequilas fault. You pick them up as if you're a good neighbor and put them in your pocket and say: Geeeze, what idiot left this here. Works every time! :D

Johnson City EOM was when I got rained on for 7 days straight. Not light pretty rain, but Noah rain!
Ha! On my way there I was riding through Atlanta as Six Flags was flooding. Standing water lapping at my shoes on I-75. Stayed in JC for 7 days and got rained on for 6 of them. One of those days I was crossing the Great Smoky Mountains park soaking wet and at the peak my temp gauge read 38F. My windscreen got stuck in the low position on day 3 of my trip, I punctured my front tire somewhere near Boone, corded the rear in BFE South Carolina, tipped over on the BRP at Little Switzerland... And had one of the best times of my life. Wouldn't change a damned thing.

But I did spend a couple days recovering at Disney World on my way home ;-)

I'm betting Doug/bugnatr will be your new best friend as he's a tequila man... not sure about the underwear part though.
Time to go Comando.

Va. 16 was heaven today, and so is the weather. Ahead of schedule for Wise so I may have to go north on 72 off 58 and back down Duncan gap rd.

Hitting the road this morning, but enjoying the trip...see you all on Friday.

I have a feeling the forum will be a quiet place this weekend.

The forum may be quite, but the roads will not be heading towards Maggie Valley. And I bet the Hotels there will be flush with the turbine like whine of inline 4 rush.

2:30 cannot come soon enough
