Just some sarcasm. At least my kids lliked the keychain and hat!! Had a great time meeting everyone. The roads this morning on 28 to Fontana and then up though the Dragon were empty. My peg feelers are clearly shorter.

Looking forward to the next gathering.

Get home safe all!

Made it home around 2:00 pm, did the loop around Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Bat Cave. and some other twisty roads to avoid some of the slab :)

Many hats and keyrings were won by the horde.
Total sham on the hats, keychains, and a freaking Hewlett Packard polo!!! I understand that all swag is swag, but not all swag should be swag!!! Good thing the roads, comrades, and fun were good enough to make up for the unswag swag.

At some point I will put together some final thoughts.
If your final thoughts are anything like the one above you can keep them to yourself.
I don't know if Cav47 was serious or not so I will not attack just yet.

I will say that anyone who is willing to take responsibility for organizing one of these events deserves our respect and thanks. It has to be similar to herding cats into a bathtub.

I will also say that as someone who had to make an unpleasant decision to not attend this event, I would have been willing to chew off my left hand to get one of those hats or key chains. I would have hung that key chain in my office in a place of honor.

Bummed.....had a trip to the OBX planned since January and wasn't able to attend this years festivitys and only an hour from my humble abode. I look forward to next years party!

Grandfather mountain this morning followed by roller coaster mid day and a nice hike at Linville falls this afternoon. Rain is moving in so we got a motel in beech mountain for the night. What can we do in the rain? Caving! Three more days and we head south to be he by Friday. About 1350 miles in so far. Enjoying every one

Stay thirsty my friends

Sorry I missed all the fun this year. Will not happen next year. All ride safe getting home. Too much happening here to make the trip. Has a date been set for next year yet?
Same here Jim. I would love to make it next year! Maybe they can just come up with a firm date, before the end of the year, and then pick a locale sometime later. I would love for Steve to make this too...I think that Brit would love it!

Where are the pics?

You would see Bugnatr in this pic, but KJ's head is too huge! Oh, FYB!

Good show! I'm biased, because this is (pretty much) my stomping grounds, but great roads were everywhere. Great riding, so long as you avoided the numerous 'wings, trikes, and cruisers. Thank goodness for all those "motorcycles only passing zones." Great day of riding on Saturday with Cav47 and TominCA. Way too much good food Sat. night.

I can't do it again until this weekend.

But I will be there next year! Good to meet the inmates I was fortunate enough to meet.

Many thanks to the organizers, contributors, volunteers and sponsors.

Great to make new friends at our (my brother Ray & me) first EOM (and first FJR anything). And who knew so many Richmond-area folks were in attendance?! Maybe an EOM in Wytheville or Staunton or Lynchburg/Bedford one day?

Steamer and myself home safe (no flat tires eitha!) around 7:30pm. We initially wanted to get on the road around 4am. Saw 'Zilla in the parking lot as we casted off at 4:30am. Close enough~

So much FUN, So many great FOLKS, So freeq'n TIRED.

...I'll make a RR when I recover from my 12 straight days of riding.

Heeeeeeey man, don't talk about who was in the parking lot at 0430. Some people's bikes may have been "tampered" with.

Yeah. Who ELSE did you **** with?https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/****.gif

He's really good at tampering for sure... I inadvertently left keys in the bike out in Oregon.

Walked about a mile before I found it, Parked in front of bugnators room.

The doorprizes may have seemed trivial to some I guess, but it's (IMO) nice to have people come up, get a keychain (or hat etc.) and have something to remember the dinner moment/event by. Many thanks to the swag meisters for getting so much!!!

Myself? I actually won the grand prize; an FJR embroidered red camping chair. It was very cool and nice, but I decided to let the EOM trusties auction it off with the proceeds going to the events Charity (awesome job and speech btw Wayne!). So bidding went up to $150 ....to Doug (Bugnatr) who was sitting right next to me at the dinner. So, my donation back was only a small part of this... as I found out that Doug then gave the chair to Bob (Intech) as a gift... Doug knew 'Mr Camping Meet' would use and cherish it the most. Good call Bug.

Awesome heart and very kind pass-it-on by Mr. Doug-Bug. I want to add.... after sitting next to him all night long, as well as a poolside visit from him earlier.... He's one great guy! AND, I would like to personally thank him for high bidding on the chair and then passing it on to ****.. Oops, I mean Bob.

So was it all trivial? Not in my eye's 4 sure, let's keep it going. Great times and even better people. I love the FJR groupies, hey, like my brotha's! (and yes Don, that includes AJ. He's a really good guy, cop or not

Peace everyone
